I've heard of keyboards in a dish washer, and tried it on a commercial dish machine. warped the plastic but still works. Never heard of a monitor before. Don't want to know how that happened.

Not a monitor, but a computer geek friend of mine had to deal with an irate customer who ran her keyboard and mouse through the dishwasher. She had called to complain that the keyboard keys were sticking and the mouse ball wouldn't roll sometimes. He told her she should clean them.....she did.The large print giveth, and the small print taketh away.

I've done keyboards several times. A boom box. Record albums, (With the hot water turned off, and a drop of regular, not machine, detergent.) boots, bicycle parts. It's not water and electronics that don't always mix, it's water and electricity.

ironic...
i don't have a dishwasher, but if i did i'd put my shoes in it...they got moldy because my fiance's mother refused to put them in the dryer...after being in his trunk for a couple of days (after me telling him to NOT let that happen...)
