A user is having issues connecting to the internet so I tell her I'll set up an install to reinstall IE. Here's the tail end of the IM conversation:
    (Me) [10:11 AM]:
Pushing it - it will require a reboot (it'll give a warning).
    (User) [10:11 AM]:
    ok
    (User) [10:14 AM]:
I have not gotten a warning yet should I just reboot?
    (Me) [10:15 AM]:
    No

    Guess what the user did?

Three, but the first two don't count.

Guess 1. They went on a pickle break.

Guess 2. Kidnapped by aliens, but the EMP of the teleporter wiped out the machine.

Guess 3. They rebooted too early.

Yeah, she rebooted - I was installing IE to their computer since they was having issues with it. They then IM'ed me when she came back online all caps

IT IS STILL NOT WORKING YOU NEED TO COME HERE TO FIX IT.

Of course, all I needed to do was to set up another install (from the network) to install IE on their computer. Of course, I had to remind them that they shouldn't reboot until the warning window appears saying that it needs to reboot.

They let the IE install and THEN it rebooted and voila! IE worked!
