My mom asked me to help a friend of her's learn how to use her DVD player to view pictures recorded on a CD.
Important background, I know no Spanish, Mom thinks she is learning Spanish (ha!), the lady in question speak a limited amount of English (she is spanish speaking of-course).
So after looking over her set-up I wrote up a set of instructions in English then used Google Translate to convert to Spanish. I printed the instructions out in English and Spanish - I know Google Translate is not perfect so I went over to go thru the instructions step by step.
However, my Mom decide she had to come along too.
Now imagine this poor woman, I can't speak Spanish so I am trying to carefully mime what to do as I point to the translated instructions. But my mom with her poor Spanish kept interrupting - can you see why she was confused. This went on for almost 45 minutes.
Finally, I snapped and told her(mom) to be quiet, and guess what?
The lady got in ten minutes flat.
Why is it the people who know the least, talk the most?
