Now the interesting part...

It seems this guy things he is the only thing keeping out corp together. He got to but heads with not only the lady in charge of all on boarding, but the lady who is my boss but not my boss(she is here and runs the help desk, my boss is in texas, so I have two bosses). They both read him the riot act. Telling him that he not only broke with protocol and procedure, but that I was a very valuable resource that can not and will not be wasted on any ones grand standing or brown nosing. (her words, I got the same store from some who heard it from her office)

This FF, was trying to make himself look good, because the person who asked him to look into this is a executive type(not a c-level or a vp, but high up), and he wanted to force it so he would look like a real go getter.

This originally went down on thursday. and I had the job done on friday morning. When the lady who handles on boarding called the executive this was all for in the first place. he was "Great, we will get it around noon on monday morning. I dont know why FF was in such a rush" FF was in the room when this was said too...

Back when I was an applications programmer (working way too many hours for no overtime cause the stupid company loved to underbid on contracts, but that's another story) there was a fairly strict dress code on normal working days. Someone once mentioned the following Monday was a holiday, and my team leader said "Holiday? Oh, yeah, one of those days when I don't have to wear a necktie to work".
