  • Anybody here familiar with DIsqus??

I signed onto "Not Always Right" many years ago. Now it's sending me a request to verify the email address that I used when I signed on. That email address no longer exists.
I cannot remember the password I used (I tried the pw associated with that email address and it doesn't work).
It won't let me change the email address.
It won't let me delete that particular account.
I can't join in any group discussions without the p/w for that old account.
I saw one "Contact Us" page that said to click on the "Chat" link at the bottom of the page. There is NO "Chat" link at the bottom of the page.

    Anybody got any suggestions?

I think NAR was the reason I finally made a login for there myself... No, it was because someone else had made one using my email address, so I took it over. (That happens way too often, but that's another story.)

I just had a look myself and I see what you mean - and I didn't find that page easily, had to go around in circles for a while. No pop-up chat for me either, and I tried in two different browsers to be sure. They have links at the bottom of the page to their Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter pages - it has the X logo but it still goes to Twitter, which makes me think it hasn't been updated in a while. I would suggest trying to contact them with one of those services if you can, as they don't seem to offer any other way of talking to them if you can't log in! Bloody ridiculous.

Thank you. I will check them out on Facebook; I have -- had -- a LinkedIn account but (familiar story) I lost the p/w many years ago and never bothered to go through the process of getting a new one (at least their process was straightforward!) I still have a Twitter account but haven't been on there for ages either.

A few minutes later: Good grief, there is nothing on their FB page that is newer than THREE YEARS OLD.

A few more minutes later: They *appear* to be on Bluesky but at the moment there are zero posts ... and no way to *make* a post.

Bluesky works the same as Twitter, you just tag someone to talk to them, you don't get to put messages on their wall. With 3 followers and 1 following, they've certainly not bothered making themselves know, if that even is them - I would expect an official page to use the namespace protocol and change their handle to @disqus.com or whatever.

Ain't it great, a company that focuses on connecting people that has no way for you to connect to them.
