Note, I'm using the free download of the Platinum, not Gold. Perhaps there's a difference between the two...
I'm going to use it to convert my DVD's to AVI files so I can take them with my on my laptop when I'm away from home. That way I don't have to pack and/or carry around the actual DVDs.
Of course, I'm not at home to see the end result, so I'll have to wait until tomorrow morning to check out the final product. I have no idea of the quality, and I already know that it's not going to pull the sub-titles into the final file.
EDIT: I'll have to look into Super though. I'm always looking for a good all-in-one video player since The Core Media player hasn't been updated in forever, and doesn't work in Vista.
Edit 2: After looking around a bit, I did find that there is a free version of DVDFab, which only rips disks. Personally, from what I've seen of the output of the AVI files I made, it'll be worth the $50 to purchase it.
