But this is REALLY cheesing me off...Dell tech...have been fighting with them over a small problem with my computer...they are trying to say its my fault...can someone either set me straight or help me out?
here is the problem...
I just reformatted my computer yesterday, today (I did it just before I went to bed) I tried to install the drivers so that I can have wonderful things like sound...and watch DVD's on my computer, its saying my computer is not a dell computer and the drivers are only compatiable with Dell computers. Dell tech support is saying that because I had my speakers, and microphone attached to my computer, that it caused the operating system to install incorrectly.
I say its a crock of something....but tell me I'm wrong. and if I am...what should I do Tech support is not being very helpful...when I can understand them ><

"Having speakers and a microphone plugged in corrupted the install"? Uh, maybe if they were USB speakers (don't ask how that would work, I dunno). But just having them plugged in properly, it's not like they have software *in* them to install.
.
It was there. I had to say it. Even though Sheldonrs got there first.
