Soooo I did some cleaning and haven't had a squeak in nearly two days. I suppose I would know if that fan had gone and broke, wouldn't I?
Not necessarily, if it's broken, it's just a bit quieter than when it works perfectly. If nobody can suggest a fanspeed program or if your computer have no fanspeed sensors, you will have to look to be sure.
