  • Connecting PC to TV

I was wondering if there's a way to connect my computer to my TV. It's an older style TV without the VGA or S-Video inputs, its just got the coax and those 3 plugs for RCA cables - is there anyway to make this connection?

Yes, but you'll need an adaptor like this: http://www.buy.com/retail/product.as...ingid=46669438

For the video, and then you'll need to run separate cables from your sound card to the TV. By way of explanation, only the yellow one is video, the red and white are audio, so that's why there's only the one end (and an S-Video connector) on that adaptor. Apologies if you knew that part.

Thanks for the help! Do I need any special software or anything else, or just that adapter and the RCA cable itself?

You should be okay. The only thing is you'll need to play with resolution, afaik.

The other option is, if your PC has a S-video out you can buy a s-video to RCA, but this will ONLY put out Video, you'll need another (usually) 3.5mm audio jack to two RCA plugs for the audio.

I used this setup on my old laptop, and treated the TV as a secondary screen.
