Open .odt files with Word 2003?

I've Googled and I can't find a reliable answer. I've seen some plugins (75MB?) that say they will let MS 20rd 2003 open .odt (Open Office) documents but I can't find anything, as stated before, reliable.

Office 2007 (and I'm assuming 2010) has it built in (or with an automatic patch).

Has anyone had any luck with getting Word 2003 to open .odt files?

I would very much doubt it. Better idea to just install OpenOffice - it is free after all - and if necessary use it to save in the required format.
