Anyone have an idea why Google Chrome needs 5 processes to run 2 tabs? Is there a better way to run it?

DO you use any add ons, extensions or flash etc with chrome?
Chrome tends to show a process for each tab & addon you are running. (I've currently got 17 instances in my task manager
)
If you right click on the top bar & open chrome's task manager it'll show you exactly what is running.

Just when I was getting used to yesterday, along came today. -
I might agree with Cazzi here.. I have 17 processes of Chrome and 15 extensions & 3 tabs.I am so SO glad I was not present for this. There would have been an unpleasant duct tape incident. - JoiComment
