  • I HATE YOU. *words are had*

    I REALLY DO.

    /begin rant

To whoever lives in the NE of the USA, you know we're going through some bad heatwaves lately. It was 104 DEGREES the other day...

AND TO THE F%#@&# THAT LEFT THEIR DOG IN THE CAR WITH ALL THE WINDOWS UP, there is a SPECIAL place in HELL for you.

Due to our RIDICULOUS policy not allowing me to call anyone in regards to the car, and our lack of a store pager system, I could not help the poor doggy. Of course, that did not stop me from urging the concerned customers surrounding the car to call police.

This dog looked BAD too. The poor thing was lying on it's side, panting super-hard. It was an older dog. The car was parked right in the sun too, poor thing!

As one person is on the phone with the cops, out comes Ms. 400-lb-Ham-Beast on her motor scooter and her HUGE CART OF GROCERIES. (Poor dog must had been in there FOREVER) Several people approach the woman, more than one tell her off for not taking care of the dog. She starts swearing and swinging her cane at these people! No explanation of her actions, no defense, just "F*&$ YOU, GET OUT OF MAH WAY,". She loads up her stuff, gets in her car, and drives off. Everyone had her plate numbers by then. When the cops showed up, they said they're tracking her down, because apparently this plate had repeated calls about her leaving pets in the car prior this week at other stores!

Poor puppy. I want to love it.

I wouldn't hesitate to beak the window. I really wouldn't. And when the Sucky owner shows up I would break another window... with the owners 'help'.

      Dog more important than window!
Dog more important than Sucky Owner!

      Grrrr.... WOOF!!

Seconded, no lawyer would even consider prosecuting (especially when the RSPCA are prosecuting the owner for neglect... )

          on her motor scooter
I've noticed that a fairly high percentage of those scooter riders SUCK. They just plow into whatever they choose and expect others to clean it up.

Why should THEY be careful in the first place, right?

People who would do that to a defenseless animal deserve to live in a world of
unrelenting, excruciating pain, in my opinion.

Sad thing is, puppy probably still thinks the world of his 'master'.

And seriously, company policy or not - there WOULD be a 911 call - assuming
I don't take a brick to the window myself. I'll find another fucking job before I
let an animal suffer like that. Nobody can legally prevent you from calling the
police if you see a crime - and make no mistake, animal cruelty *IS* a crime.

Sorry for the tirade - this sort of shit really, REALLY pisses me off.

I would have broke the windows & rescued the dog & called the cops & when the stupid woman came out I would have clocked her for being the ignorant asshole she is.

Yeah, I think job or no job rage would've kicked in and I would've busted that window. I love animals so much that I just know me...window would've been broken. And the actions of the owner when she came out - what a fucking hose beast.

I fucking hate people who are cruel to animals. OOOOO - this got my blood boiling.

We should tie up that woman and leave her in a hot stuffy car with the windows up and no air conditioning. You did say you got the license number, right? I'll call the DMV, who wants to buy the rope?

Considering how the OP described the woman, she'd most likely fry like a cookie within an hour or less.

I agree with maras, as usual. Growing up in my hometown, there was a woman who couldn't walk and had an electric wheelchair that I SWEAR was powered with NOZ....and she would barrel up and down the streets and ignore "Don't walk" signs and just whizz across the street. For added dramatic effect, there was a flag on the back of her wheelchair, maybe for like, Nascar purposes?

Yeah, I'm with the "break the window and rescue the poor doggie" group. I don't know if that's actually legal where I live (I'll be asking as soon as I see either Officer Rudd or Huges) but where I grew up it was perfectly legal.

This reminds me of the story I posted in Sightings a while ago about the poor doggy that was left in a car for hours in the hot sun while the owners drove go-carts.

I really hate people that do this, I really really do.

And Nakajo, if you find out that the lady is prosecuted or whatever, could you please tell us?

                            ???

How can it be legal for a store's policy to require you not to report a crime being committed? Because isn't it a crime pretty much everywhere to leave a child or a pet inside a vehicle? That's like saying you can't call the police if you see someone getting assaulted outside.

This thread is NOT about people who ride scooters. It's about a woman who neglected her dog in a hot car.

Her size is also irrelevant to the thread.
