Part of me is hoping that Funimation gets the job, but another part of me is hoping they don't. They seem to enjoy recycling the same half-dozen actors.

I'm hoping that if Funimation DOES get the gig, they'll at least avoid the weird-ass accents given to each of the characters in the dub. ESPECIALLY Luna. (there's a semi-weird male equivalent of this in Negima where the titular character (Negi) is voiced by Greg Ayres and sounds like he's in the process of his voice breaking instead of sounding like a 10-year-old)

I'm still up in the air as to whether they'll keep or modify the Sailor Uranus/Neptune relationship. Part of me reckons they'll keep it and bump up the ratings slightly, the other part of me reckons they'll modify it (to a less-than-obvious standard) because of the screams of the fundamentalist idiots.

Every female part will be divvied up between Colleen Clinkenbeard, Monica Rial, and Laura Bailey

Crispin Freeman will be all the male parts with Tuxedo Mask going to Johnny Yong Bosch

And Helios will be voiced by Greg Ayres.

Also, I just googled Crispin Freeman (Yes, I know who he is). DAMN....I wouldn't believe that guy is in his 40's!

Ahh. XD It is rather frustrating, isn't it? That said, though, I do love that Kotono is going to be Usagi again. I honestly couldn't imagine anyone else in the role.

Johnny is actually a great VA. I'm just taking a stab at the industry's tendency to recycle VA's for bit and other parts.

I would actually pay good money to see/hear that. I love Johnny Bosch's work and I think he'd fit the role well. Better than some other Funi veterans (*cough*Vic Mignogna*cough*)

Still no word yet on who's actually doing the dubbing, sadly. However, the girl who runs one of the Sailor Moon blogs I follow on Tumblr apparently interviewed Toby Proctor (one of the VAs of Tuxedo Mask in the first dub), and he says that there *will* be a dub. And, yeah, hopefully whoever does it won't mess it up. Part of me is hoping that Funimation gets the job, but another part of me is hoping they don't. So there was another press event at 4PM Japan time yesterday. There, they made announcements about the next Sailor Moon musical, as well as giving information about the new anime. They announced a good portion of the main cast, including the reveal that Kotono Mitsuishi will indeed reprise her role as Sailor Moon (*squee heard 'round the world*), and presented some new art that I haven't been able to figure out yet if it's just concept art or the actual design for the show (I'm happy either way, personally, because I think it's actually quite pretty).
