I'm insulted that they would put the Delorean DMC-12 on the list.
That car is icon of the 1980's. It's how we all remember a *certain series of movies.* And if not for a coke snorting owner, imagine how the company would be doing today.
If I had the money, I would buy one right now!
Popular it may have been with the movie, but the design was basically tinfoil on an aluminum frame. It was a type that if it got into an accident, there would be nothing left.
Super surprised that Dodge Neons and Ford Tempos didn't make the list.
First generation Neons were all made with tons of electrical issues and problems with gauges, not to mention they are notorious for blowing head gaskets...
And Ford Tempos....we don't even need to go there. A good idea gone way bad. Anything and everything will go wrong, all at one time or evenly spread out throughout the years, you will spend thousands more than what you paid for the car to fix it, but it will NEVER just die for good.
Why aren't those uber ugly Subaru Bahas and Chevrolet Avalanches on the list? Yuck
I'm surprised Dodge Neons stayed off the list too. I've never heard of a car that broke down so freaking much.
I'm happy to see a few SUVs on the list. I love how those companies selling them advertise how much power they have and how much carrying capacity they have. That's nice and all but I'm sick of seeing them being used to drive from Point A to Point B.
The Scion XA, XB, XD, all nasty looking mofos. And, oh God, I just looked at the concept cars. The t2B is absolutely hideous!

Speaking of Dodge vehicles, I'm surprised the Aries K car didn't make it to the list.
My stepdrac had one that Dad bought for her new in 1985 . . . they had the car for 6 years and in that time, it stayed in the shop more than it did on the road.

Friend of mine used to have a Lotus Esprit (the underwater Bond car?). It spend ages in the garage.

I think he even came up with that one himself. He'd bought it from someone who'd used it for its glamour, but hadn't maintained it. Cost him more than he paid for the vehicle for repairs and recovery. Looked good while it worked, though.
Well, OK, maybe the fact that it could make small children cry is reason enough to be on there.
My daddy got a Chevette one time when I was little because mom started working and they needed a second car and we didn't have a lot of money. It was turd brown and we called it "the bomb" because it sounded like it was going to explode every time he turned it on. We always knew when he was coming home because we could hear the "RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!" from about 2 blocks away. Mother never, ever let me or my sister ride in it.
It was a type that if it got into an accident, there would be nothing left.
They even mentioned that in the second movie. When Marty wanted Doc to land the car on Biff's car to stop him, and Doc told him "We're in a DeLorean. He'd rip through us like we were tinfoil."
I'm kind of surprised to not see a Dodge Intrepid on the list. I fell in love with how they looked and bought one as my first car. The best thing that ever happened to it was when another girl ran a red light while I was in the intersection and destroyed it for me. Then I used the insurance money to help buy a Mazda, which I adore, and just got hit on Saturday as I was going to work and this other girl decided not to wait for me to clear her path before making a left turn. But, once again, I'm not at fault so I won't have to pay anything at all. At least this time it was just the front/side parts of the body and the turn signal on the driver's side. I shouldn't lose it.
Peel Tirdent - in the background of the picture it looks like VW Bubble car . . .
That is what the character "Urkle - Did I do that" drove . . .also common for clowns to drive . . .basically the front of the car is the door and the gear/ stick is on the drivers left instead of right due to the front opening.
The Amphi- cars were around for a long time . . .their are also cars that can be turned into airplanes . . .deam big - it helps the economy .
One of my exes used to have "amateur demo derbies", except it was running the vehicles into trees and stumps and rolling them over, and I got to drive a K car. Smashing that car into a tree, backin up, doing it again, then finally rolling it and sending it to it's grave was one of the best feelings I've ever had. That car was a pile of shit!

Urkel actually drove a BMW Isetta....it's scary that I know that.

Hey, my first ever car that I had (and got my license with) was my '89 Tempo. I drove that thing for almost 2 years with no issues until it died...cuz that will happen when a minivan going 40mph t-bone's it and takes out the whole front end...
I thought it was a pretty nice car, and we got it for a pretty good deal when we stopped at a dealership just starting to load repo'ed cars for the auction block. We got the car for 1/2 of what it was marked at as starting price, because we had cash on the spot.
I like the Avalanche myself, but if you put it on the list, you have to put the Honda Ridgeline on because they ripped off their design from Chevy.
