Well, I suppose it would work for a one-night stand (where both know that's what it is), but not really for anything permanent.

Mind you, we humans are a varied and crazy bunch.

I must agree, Raps. I HATE the F word. (oh the dreaded "You're too good of a FRIEND!" or "Let's be FRIENDS" or "You're just a FRIEND!")

At least I have the deceny to be honest. I never make promises I can't keep.

Yeah - if you're going to kill an animal humanely, just do it. Tearing a limb off one at a time isn't humane.

Oh, I realize men can be dense about that sort of thing. Back when I was dating, if I was interested in a man, he knew. I'd make sure of that. I am honest and straightforward. I'd even go so far as to make it fairly easy for him to make his move.

But usually, it had to be him to make the move. I'll only work so hard at it, I expect a little effort on his part, too. If the ball wasnt' picked up, and soon, I'd assume he wasn't interested and move on pretty quickly.

I think that may be some kind of ironic understatment I think uranium is less dense!

Young man that used to be in my SCA household shows up one night while we were all hanging out and says "Hey, this really cute girl came up to me in a club last night and asked me if I lost her number, asked me why didn't I call, and did I remember her, and I said "no." Did I blow it?

                US: Yes.

                Him: Can I fix it?

U: No, but you can sure learn from it.

I chased my husband down, but it did take awhile for him to notice that I was chasing him.

I joke with him now that my next step was to throw myself naked at him. He jokes back that if he knew that he would have waited!
