I... I don't think I can watch it. Just READING about it is horrible. How could someone do something so cruel? Especially to a creature as sweet and helpless as a kitten! That's just... insane! A rational human would never do something like that.

When I first popped into this thread, there was NO WAY I was clicking that link. Nuh-uh, just not going there.

But reading some of the comments I went for a look. I had been fearful it was footage of the abuse, but it's not. Go watch it. It describes the abuse, but there's no footage. It's adorably cute and will fuzz your brains out.

Polly (why'd they name a boy Polly? le sigh) is SOOOO KEWT!!!! I love how the vet is saying at the end that "we" need to go to a good home where "we" will be loved and looked after. He seems like such a nice guy!

Oh, and the shows? I like watching them, but Mr Fang asks me why I bother. I need a box of tissues handy and I cry like a little baby. But it's all for the second half. They usually follow 2-3 stories. The first half is finding them and rescuing them, and the second half is usually how good they're doing in proper care, and sometimes follows the family they got adopted to and shows the happy animal frolicking and playing with its new littermates... ... more tears. Happy tears.

It is Polly - he's called Polly Pocket. Probably before gendering him, although you would think that's pretty quick and easy for a vet clinic.

It may have been the rescuer who named him, in which case, I could see how the name would have been honored.
