I believe she only actually mentioned one shop assistant that wasn't fluent in English - and from the way she writes that article I'd bet she turned down help from a fluent English speaker to make her story more dramatic.

I find the things she admits to doing annoying enough to dislike her, so I feel no need to speculate on what she might have done in addition to that. I merely wished to point out an apparent misperception in shadowpanda's post.
