Well, I remember reading something in one of my Dad's med mags, wherein a psychologist basically stated that paedophilia cannot be cured, but only controlled. And that in his opinon, Paeds should be in mental institutes instead of prisons. But then again, that's just one opinion...

Yeah but most of them claim they're not even looking for sex. They're just stopping by to "hang out" or "drop by to say hi".

None of these guys plan to do anything at all.

Anybody catch the episode that aired Tuesday night?

I guess a guy who got caught on that show ended up killing himself.

I'm trying to see when that episode will be rerun on MSNBC.

If you want to be EXTREMELY disturbed, EXTREMELY nauseated and EXTREMELY pissed off visit Perverted-Justice.com.

Truly not a site for the squeemish.
I've seen that site before. You aren't kidding. Those people busted on there are extremely sick. And it's definately not for the squeemish. There always seems to just be more and more people added to that site. I mean, it's one thing to like younger people, but it's another to like kids...bleh!

His sister is now blaming Dateline and the cops for her brother killing himself. My god woman, he's your brother and you love him, fine but he was caught soliciting a minor for sex. He of all people knows that is wrong. It isn't anyone else's fault except your brother's.
Figers are vicious I tell ya. They crawl up your leg and steal your belly button lint.

              I'm a case study.

Here lies personal responsibility. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust.

Just like blaming the cops for chasing you when you flee when they try to pull you over, and you hit some car head-on and kill a family on the way to their kid's birthday party or something.

Sad thing is, there are people out there who would hold Dateline responsible, and occasionally they do get on juries.

I don't think they have any more choice over who they are attracted to than anyone else. A hundred years ago much the similar reactions were expressed about homosexuality.

The choice is in how they act upon this.

I like the guys who say that they were only going there to protect them because they were home alone and talking about sex with men. I've only seen the show a coulpe of times and both times I heard at least one guy say that.

The one that REALLY scared me was the guy who brought the duct tape and rope with him. I'm glad they got him off the street.

Did anyone see the one last night? Goodness gracious! There was one guy who got to the house late so the Dateline house was closed up, but the Dateline people called the local cops & told them someone was on their way. The cops got there, arrest the guy, and check out the guy's car. Not only did he have the directions to the house, but a whole arsenal of guns!!!!

Turns out the guy used to be a cop, and then he just returned to being a cop a couple of weeks before he showed up for Dateline. He had 2 kevlar vests, a handgun in his front pocket (ready to fire), he had a shotgun on the front seat (also ready to fire). He had the "cop killer" bullets, digital cameras, porn videoes, etc. My jaw dropped down to the floor. It was shocking!!! And scarey at the same time!

Can you imagine if he had got there right on time?

Exactly. A vehicle does only what its operator tells it to do. Vehicles, by themselves, don't do anything--unless we're talking about "Christine" but that's a bit different...

Just last year, some idiot caused an accident on one of the local bridges. This particular bridge has a 90-degree curve right before you get to it. Some dumbass in a full-size van managed to hit some ice, slide, and then *hit* the barrier down the midlde of the bridge. As if that wasn't enough, he also hit the barrier along the right side of the bridge, totalling the van. That driver was later quoted in the paper blaming the city for the "sharp curve" and the bridge's design. Never mind he was going *much* too fast for conditions! Had he not been speeding (limit there is only 25 because of the corner) the accident probably wouldn't have been as severe, and might not even have happened.

Yes, but I don't want to. Scary to think that sleaze could have the option of just shooting his way out of there had he got there on time.

I saw part of that episode--about half of it--on break at work. I saw the previews for that but not the actual takedown. Funny thing was, "To Catch A Predator" came on the TV and everybody who was up in the breakroom crowded around the TV and we all had some fun giving the show the MST3K treatment.

OT - something like that happened here in Canyon Lake Park. The last corner out of the park is at a 90 degree angle and the speed limit is 10mph. Well some stupid 16 year old and friends decided to go 45mph through the park, missed the curve and ended upside down in the pond. One passenger is now brain damaged and his parents sued the girl and the city for his care. The stupid jury actually awarded them damages from the city. Like the city forced her to drive that fast.

Back OT - the pediafellia cop is probably one of the most scary guys that they have caught to date.
