Including the roman style sandals that I got for her, the whole thing was probably around $100.

There's always the thrift stores, too. I don't know about the UK, but I've seen many bridal gowns in thrift stores, usually in excellent condition.

Mrs. TGK donated hers to one (Salvation Army, IIRC). It was a size 12, though...I couldn't resist.

Ok..I used to wear a size 52 pants. Do you think I could go in and shop at wally world? Of course not. They are lucky to have 46..and an occasional 48 (once in a blue moon). 52's? I'd have more luck looking for the one ring, in Aladdin's Lamp, in the middle of the Amazon rain forest. It is just NOT going to happen.

Add in the price they were looking for..it would be like me demanding those 52's from walmart for $5. Businesses can stock what they want, charge what they want (regardless if people will pay it, they can charge what they want..even $100 for a Hershey bar if they feel like it)..and she has two options. Pay it, or find someplace that will work more with her.

She's not a 16 by U.S. sizes. I don't know about U.K. or Australian sizes.

She's definitely a 16 by U.S. sizes - not sure what number base it would be in, though.
