I am officially over halfway to the minimum word count. Currently sitting at 26,636 words and am in the middle of the most difficult series of scenes in the novel. Dark stuff.

Unless I'm able to really get some quality time in (ha ha yeah right) I think I have to concede this year. It's just been too hectic

Ug, I've fallen behind the last couple days. Need to scramble now.

Edit: Over 1700 words in less than an hour. Boom! I'm back today! (Around 19,000 total. Still behind overall, but I'm making a comeback!)

Just hit 30k! I'm rocking out this year.
My webcomic is called Sidekick Girl. Val's job is kinda like retail, except instead of corporate's dumb policies, it's the Hero Agency, and the SC's are trying to take over the world.

Whelp, the clutch died in my car. Which means I had to call off from work since I have no transpo. And I can't drive anywhere distracting, nor can I afford anything shiny (or even matte...clutches be expensive yo). So I expect to get a lot of writing done today.

One of the fun things about writing non-linearly with only a vague outline is that I don't have all the chapters numbered since they aren't in sequence yet and there are gaps between them. So right now I have chapter "Whatever I don't even know", chapter "The chapter where Rose goes to the nuthouse", and chapter "OMG Rose you weren't crazy after all!" (Rose being my main character's name, obviously.)

I'm writing linearly but I still name all my "chapters" within Scrivener as descriptions of what's going on in that chapter in case I need to insert something later. So my chapter lists read like the episode list of Welcome to Night Vale right now (in some cases literally): "Phone call" "First date" "Big news" etc.
