Veeeeery windy today, and tomorrow it's supposed to drop down to 60F with more high winds.Naturally the locals are freaking out. I find it amusing that me, the desert boy, the guy who hates cold, is less bothered by this "cold front" down here than the locals who are from Michigan, New York, and Pennsylvania.

The good news is, after tomorrow it's supposed to lovely conditions, with the temp getting up to a lovely 78F by Friday. Come on down!

I am very glad that our ONLY day that has the potential for torture is an excursion day at work...so I'll be IN AIRCONDITIONING without getting my ass kicked by 75 kids!

We have just had the two hottest January days on record. Yesterday set a new record of 36.0 C and today broke it I think it was 36.2. Tomorrow might break the record again. Humidity has been in the range of 50 to 60% during the day and up to 90% overnight.

Funny thing is, it's supposed to be in the 40s again by Friday. Crazy. Nowhere as nice as 78 but at least it won't be snowing.

Around here, the winter-sports fans are actually *complaining* - about the unseasonably *mild* weather. There isn't much show south of the Oulu-Joensuu line (ie. about half the country by area).

Apparently it is due to start snowing properly around the end of this week, though. That should be fun.

For Sure! I saw that forecast also. It's amazing what that kind of temp increase does to one's spirits. All the salt will be re-activated and start melting the roads again and it will feel like spring. No more icicles on mens beards. The guys working in my car wash won't have frozen solid pants when they walk outside. It will be AMAZING. I fully expect to see customers in shorts that day. And buying lots of things in pure happiness. (If this happens of course)

Just thinking the same myself when it hit 0F (-18C) here yesterday. And it's just wrong that bicycling home gave me an ice cream headache.
