    1. Supernatural?
    Yep!

1: should it have ended in season 5?
    3: Tailspin?
    4: Space Cases?
    1. Pretty much, yeah. I mean, don't get me wrong. Season 6 had some bright spots, but it was mostly a mishmashed trainwreck.
    3. Yes
    4. The fact that you correctly guessed Space Cases made me squee a little bit. I feel like no one else has heard of it.

I feel like I might have been too vague on questions 2 and 5. I might reword them later, but for now I'll say this- I am the queen of really obscure kid shows that people either love or have never heard of.

Well, FM was what OP was going for; the latter is technically accurate, as well

        ----

Lessee here...These would have been a little more tricksy if not for the average age on this board being a bit higher than most (myself included):

a- Kid who's the child of a human and an alien gets into mischief using inherited special powers.

b- Tennis player gets cybered-up, can now crush tennis balls with bare hand.

c- Borderline-incompetent detective solves cases anyway; has no cybernetic enhancements.

d- (Forcibly) pacifist teens with gestalt psychic powers saving the day, in secret.

e- Musicians get sucked into a cartoon world, somehow still able to make live-action videos. (This is an easy one)

Not the one I had in mind, although it does qualify. That one did get a full airing 16 years later. The one I had in mind has never been shown again, and was a few years earlier. It was also the reason ABC turned down what became a very popular show for CBS. Now there are two shows to identify.

The network actually played it up as "that show that got canned halfway through its first airing" and also because by then TV standards were actually a little bit more relaxed, meaning most of the videos shown were actually quite tame. They did have to cut a few sections though because the jokes that the host did were actually the opposite: tame by the standards back then, but horrifying by today's standards.

For those who don't want to read the Wiki link, the story goes that Kerry Packer (guy who owned the network) was eating dinner when he saw what was being broadcasted, rang up the network and yelled out "GET THAT SHIT OFF THE AIR!" They promptly acquiesced and pulled it, replacing it with Cheers. Different states vary on how much content was shown at the time. The guys involved were canned.

Not what I was going for, but that works, too ^_^ I was thinking of Get Smart (hence my intentional exclusion of the chiba, which would have allowed Inspector Gadget, Maxwell's spiritual descendant)

me and my sister ended up playing a weird trivia game on facebook the other night:

                        1. this show had an actor go on to play santa and another to voice a lion.
                        2. this show had actors that played a serial killer, a hitman, a cyborg and a talking cat on other shows
                        3. one person now has a talk show, another went on to be batman and a third hosts a game show
                        4. in this show kids got trapped on an island and were attacked by monsters and had to fight a devil? then an elvis impersonator followed by a vampire
                        5. this guy's life got flipped upside down
                        6. in this show the girl lived next door to her stalker and her family kept letting him come over.
                        7. this show about 3 guys and one girl running a detective agency one dressed like magnum pi and another like indiana jones.

                        have fun, add your own.
we're on page 3 so here's my answers.
                        1. Home improvement (Tim Allen in Santa Claus, JTT in Lion King)
                        2. 3rd Rock from the sun. Dick in Dexter, Tommy in Looper, Harry in Inspector Gadget 2, and Don in Sabrina the teenage witch
                        3. Drew Carey, Drew hosts Price is right, Mr. Wick has a talk show, and Oswald was in Batman the brave and the bold.
                        4. Digimon, they were trapped on an island for the first story arch and the first 3 villains are Devimon, Etemon, and Myotismon
                        5. Fresh Prince of Bel-Air
                        6. Family Maters

The show that outlasted Chicago Hope was ER

IMHO, Chicago Hope was better, of course it kinda went downhill after Mandy left & the guy who played the lawyer left (can't remember actor's name). Then they went through all the cast changes & well that sorta doomed it

'Course having 3 NCIS alumni show up didn't hurt it either I'll leave ya'll to guess who

Alas, though these are good answers, they're not the ones I was thinking. For number 2, one of the main actors in both shows recently played a dwarf. For 5, think ghosts and stuff.
