Has anyone actually managed to get the minigame to launch? Every time I try, it throws an error...

As for games, I considered Halo: Spartan Assault for $1.50, but the reviews make even that sound like too much...

BTW, steam ID is "crossbowroof" if you're interested.

cb: Yer handle's not showing up in Search. Try adding me (my avatar is a greyscale image; the werewolf from Gabriel Knight II that I used to have as an avatar here, ages ago) -- not like my handle is exactly common, though

As for the game: It was working just fine for me last night, as well as within the last couple of hours or so (even if it was slow to start up). I'm in a group that just got past level 90 (remember, you still contribute to damage and earn money when offline, as long as you use the Close button on the bottom right to exit gracefully). Earlier this morning, it was refusing to work at all; I suspect the word has spread, resulting in it getting a nice big internet hug.

Yeah, I just got in a few minutes ago.

Sorry, my screen name is Crossbow, not Crossbowroof. I tend to switch back and forth...

So far I've only picked up one game so far and it was a recommendation from somebody on reddit: Don't Starve. I haven't played it yet, but it looks like it will be a cute game. Trying it out will be my reward for getting the critter cages cleaned today!

KK: Well, it has something like 97% positive ratings I'd be willing to bet it ain't half bad! I may have to check it out myself.

Even worse, cb There's over a dozen folks by that name on Steam; which avatar is yours?. Go ahead and add me, Eric_Kei

My haul so far: Risk of Rain, Nidhogg, Child of Light (and the one DLC worth getting for it), AudioSurf, Costume Quest 1 & 2, Steam Marines, Heroes of Might & Magic 3 HD, Giana Sisters 2, The Maw, Knights of Pen & Paper +1, and Sir, You Are Being Hunted. Also, Stacking, which was apparently free...not sure why, but I ain't complaining.

Maybe 40 bucks so far, but that's why I set aside some funds for this. As you can tell, I'm a fan of the discount rack ^_^

For those unused to Steam scroll waaaaaaaay down near the bottom and one of the choices will be "Under $5" -- Click the *other* "under $5" button underneath the grid of games to get to list mode. Sort this by "User Reviews" to get a list of el cheapo games that people really liked (you'll need to re-select User Reviews if you leave the list and return). OR hit this link for the web version: http://store.steampowered.com/search...ter=ut2&page=1 They have over two hundred pages of under-$5 games in this list, hence the need to sort them.

Note also that you will get a Summer Sale card for every nine bucks you spend.

Now I'm just waiting for the wonderful Cities: Skylines to drop down to "$damn that's cheap!" from the sale and I'll be set.

PS: Steam recently implemented a fairly liberal returns policy. To do it, you need to have owned a game for less than 14 days, and played it for 2 hours or fewer. So, if you get stuck with a shit game, you have a recourse.

It looks cute, but can be rather terrifying! Especially when you're out at night, then fire is dying down and darkness surrounds you, hearing and seeing the eyes of critters who want to eat you

I've only ever played it once. My friend Susie got me Gmod for my birthday last year and the first thing I wanted to do on it was play Prop Hunt. It's really fun, even though I'm *really* bad at it.
Ever played Trouble in Terrorist Town (TTT)?

Not yet. Both it and Murder are on my 'To Do' list, though.

Seriously, you got probably the WORST version out there. All it is is the Mobile version upscaled. It doesn't even have the expansions to it. A far better choice would be to get a refund and pick up the HoMM 3 Complete from GoG.
