The pumpkin has landed

In the flyer for next week's specials at a local supermarket were these items:

This is, I assume, in addition to actual pumpkins

You know what this means? The pumpkin boats are not far behind.

So I went to that store today and bought one of the pumpkin pound cakes. I missed a few products in my list upthread, there are even more! And the actual pumpkins were there, too. They were gorgeous, but I wont buy any this early. I did that in that past and they almost always go bad before Halloween because I can't keep them cold enough.

I'm always happy when pumpkin season starts. I love cooking pumpkins and making pies, bread, cookies, etc. My picky-eater son even likes the pumpkin goodies I make, and it's the closest I can get him to eating vegetables.

Autumn is my favorite season. Love it!

As far as apples go, I need to take a trip to one specific farm stand that makes the best sweet apple cider I have ever tasted. Seriously, this stuff is marvelous. I might put some in a crockpot and bring it to work, so everyone can have a nice hot cup of apple cider on break.
