I am not at all a girly type. Pink is okay, in moderation. You can just entirely skip frills and bows and ruffles. Lace can be okay, again in moderation. Long as it isn't underwear (lace underwear= ITCHY ).

I consider myself to be a maker. I cook and bake and craft and fix and build. Jackie of all trades, as it were.

I've made tiramisu a few times, including making my own lady fingers. Mine tends to have a similar texture to Boston Cream Pie (which, ironically enough, is actually cake)- a bit on the drier/more solid end as opposed to gloopy.

Seshat- if your primary complaint with American chain restaurant desserts is that they're way too sweet (and I agree with you on that one), you MIGHT enjoy my lemon and key lime pies. I firmly believe that desserts made with those fruits should be tart. The sweetest part of the pie is the crust when I make em.

Please, for the love of DOG, do not try to talk to me about SPORTS!!!

I do not watch sports (although I used to like NASCAR back in the 80s, but by the 90's I was pretty much burnt out on it)

Any other sports, just NOPE. If I hear one more word about Super Bowl 50, I may hurl.

And please don't get upset with me when I politely tell you I'm not into sports. I have the right to like what I do (which is a good book or a mini series on tv) and not like what I don't.

Also, I don't like brussel sprouts, or liver (I make an exception for liver pudding though,) people who try to be funny but sound absolutely obnoxious (don't give up your day job, Sparky) and overly pushy people.

I will change my tune in a flash and you will meet my inner bitch if you are agressive or pushy with me. I know how to bark like a drill seargeant and tell you to BACK OFF NOWWWWW!!!!

But I do love the colors pink and purple and am a nail polish freak of sorts. I love to try diffrent colors in those groups (just bought a new color last Thursday b/c I lost the bottle of the color I had been wearing - I think Gidget knocked it off a shelf and it's somewhere hiding behind something, but I digress.) I also like my makeup and perfume and sometimes I'll wear a couple of pieces of jewerly if I'm feeling up to it.

And one more thing I cannot stand: people who have to brag that they don't like cats or dogs. You will NOT be invited over for dinner, that's for sure.

Other than that I could really care less about American Football (Super bowl SHUUMPER bowl)
I gather that you're one of the people who wasn't trying to get today off to watch the game. From your point of view as a pizza driver, is the Super Bowl good (lots of people ordering pizza), bad (everyone wants their pizza at THE SAME TIME and takes it out on the driver for not doing the impossible), or indifferent?

I don't like lobster (meat shouldn't be sweet) or "fancy" mushrooms (shitakes taste like DIRT!)

I also don't really like dresses. There are a few I've chosen myself that I'll wear when I'm feeling especially feminine, but as a general rule, I don't like not having pants on. There's something about not having structure below my waist that makes me uncomfortable. I have no history of abuse (thank heavens) but it just makes me uneasy. I can't even sleep without at least PJ shorts on.

I also don't really care about football, even though the Broncos are in the superbowl and my city (Denver) is going NUTS. We have it on in the lobby for guests who want to watch but I am not really paying much attention.

I like football but not much of a fan of the Denver quarterback, which is unthinkable when you live in the city where he's the former quarterback. I'm not from here anyway so I don't care.
I would have a nice day, but I have other things to do.

Sundays are my regular scheduled day off and I did my Sunday football game (regular season games) time years ago. I have worked several SB's in the past (not involving Chesseheadland team) and they were sort of Meh as far as business level.

I did work the last SB that Cheeseheadland team played in 5 or 6 years ago. NUTZ does NOT describe the business level. AN hour before the game up until the 3d quarter or so then nothing even after they won. We all basically watched the 3d and 4th quarters with almost NO business.

I would make (big might at that ) an exception IF Cheeseheadland team was in said SuperBowl as it IS worth it and people around here are somewhat mellow especially IF you give them a sufficiently high delivery time.

My great experience with the Broncos win was when I and a full bus of passengers got kicked off at the Broadway station and left to fend for ourselves. No buses or trains allowed into downtown per DPD. I live on the other side of downtown from where I work. They have a fleet of vans for Access-a-Ride, but they couldn't be used to get people home, oh no. Basically they told us "hope you can afford a cab, because you aren't getting home on public transit today folks." No ride? You got to sleep on the street in 20 degree temps, I guess.

Oh goodness yes, sports... Especially as where I work is near to one of the big team's grounds, and we get lots of people passing through on their way there or to other events the other end of the line. Heck, even when we hosted the last Olympics, I watched precisely none of it. Some people (men) cannot comprehend not being interested in any of it - I've even been asked multiple times "but if you did watch it, who would you support?" How the fuck am I supposed to answer that?!

Answer it thusly: "I support the team you don't like."

Seriously, that's annoying as heck. I'll admit I'm not really that enthused about sports, though I do at least try to follow what's happening in them so I'm not completely at sea if someone asks me about it. But if I were in your shoes and someone kept pestering me over it, I'd get salty about it reeeeal quick.

I have less than zero interest in sports myself. Fortunately, my husband feels similarly.

Speaking of NASCAR, how the hell did this become popular? Seeing a bunch of rednecks driving identical cars in a circle 500 times isn't my idea of racing. No, I'd rather see a bunch of guys racing their MG T-series, Triumph TR2s and 3s, Porsche 356s, etc. on a twisting road course...with only hay bales offering some sort of "protection." At least I can enjoy that action locally once a year. The course is all closed-off public roads, and you cannot see the entire course at once

Along those lines, I can't see the appeal of massively-expensive sports cars...and the need to bring them to every car show in the area. Seriously, many of these things are right off the showroom floor. We all know why you did that. You enjoy the attention it brings, and probably have no idea how to even service the thing. Get lost, poser.

While I do love coffee and hazelnut, most of what you've mentioned I'm not crazy about either.

Same for coffee pods. As much coffee as I drink in a day, one 12 pack of pods would last 2 days. Multiply the cost of that times however many I could go through in 2 weeks (I'm paid biweekly) and you'll see how expensive that will be.

As for what I love that most don't: I still adore the last 70's disco music. Give me Donna Summer or the Bee Gees any day of the week. ELO is good to boogie down to as well.

And I've had a love affair with The Man From UNCLE since I was 14 (the original series that is. The film remake was okay though.) If I had time now, I'd spend all day with the laptop typing away on a original fanfic story.

Jello. Don't like it. Don't understand why people do. I guess if I was in the hospital and that was the first bit of "real" food I could have I'd be excited for it but I certainly wouldn't eat it by choice. Blech.
