Because I am a coupon nazi at work because of the customers who try to use coupons and not buy what the coupon is for. Infact I have had customers who see me and walk right out of the store.

Mine came about from the dark annuals of time from a couple of iterations of the site ago. I was thinking of going from a lurker to a poster on a slow day at work, and needed to register. A coworker was asking about what I did for fun and, after I told him, said, "Geez, you're like the King of the Geeks." Boom. Named.

Most other sites/games I go by Ogredjinn. Feel free to say "hi" if you see me.

Mine's quite simple, really - I make my own preserves (marmalade, jam, jelly, chutney, mincemeat) and am always looking for new recipes / variations to try.

I did think of 'Lady Marmalade' (as in the song) but decided that looked as if I was trying to present myself as sultry and exotic, which I'm not. So I just combined marmalade and lady, and here I am.

Mine is from the song "you are my sunshine", my mom used to sing it to me as a kid. And lil Ray(my kiddo) is because she's my lil Ray of sunshine. 😁
I'm partial to the song All For The Love Of Sunshine by Hank Williams Jr.

I think that most people that have read any of your posts realizes that before very long.
You'd be surprised. On another site where I used this name, I often had to correct people over and over.

I first adopted the online name "Jack T. Chance" back around 2000. It comes from a member of the Green Lantern Corps that was introduced in issue # 1 of Green Lantern Corps Quarterly back in 1992. He was created by Writer John Ostrander and Artist Flint Henry. His roguish personality is like an exaggerated version of my own... you know, if I was a gunslinger in a Space Western, that is:

Almost everywhere I've gone in cyberspace, the name's been available, so I've been able to make it my own almost everywhere.

M'oh Less is actually a merging of two things. It's a portmanteau contraction of Moo and D'oh, with the obvious Less. Those are the nicknames of the son and daughter I lost to the fire. The other meaning is, "Well, how you doin'?" - "*shrug* I'm ok, m'oh less... (more or less)."

                      I'm a wrestling fan.

"Guerrera" means "warrior" and is commonly used by masked wrestlers, like Juventud Guerrera ("youthful warrior", Fuerza Guerrera ("forceful warrior"), Mascara Guerrera ("masked warrior"), etc.

                      "Pollo" means "chicken".

                      I am The Chicken Warrior.

It started when I needed a name to sign up with a different forum, I had just read about a guy in California who was El Pollo Diablo ("The Devil Chicken"). I was going to start with El Pollo Guerrera for a short while, then change it every so often for laughs, like El Pollo Satanico ("Satanic Chicken"), El Pollo Cibernetico ("Cyber-Chicken"), El Pollo Dos Ano Tres Mil ("Chicken of the Year 3000"), and so on.

I'm just lazy and kept it as El Pollo Guerrera.

                      So far.

Just curious, but your name appears to be in Spanish, which (like many Latin-based languages) uses gender-specific nouns.

In the time that the Spanish language was developing (from the fall of the Roman empire until the Napoleonic era), war was a man's profession, so it would be logical for the term for "warrior" to be in the masculine form. Similarly, during this time, chickens were raised for eggs (i.e. large flock of hens with one or two roosters) rather than meat (gender not important), so it would be logical for the term for "chicken" to be in the feminine form. Since in your name, "warrior" is the primary term, with "chicken" being a modifier, it's logical to take the gendered term "the" to match "warrior".

From all of this, wouldn't it be more appropriate for your name to be "El Polla Guerrero"? Of course, neither of the nouns in this case is proper Spanish - showing that while English grammar is crazy, Spanish grammar is loco.

Spanish grammar is beyond me... but Guerrera is common for both male and female wrestlers.

I do know that Guerrero isn't commonly used because it is a family name (see Eddie Guerrero) and it would be improper to do so.

Also, luchadores use "El" and luchadoras (and exoticos) use "La".

(Edit: I also did a quick search for what Polla translated to, and it's a 4-letter word starting with C that also means 'chicken'... among other things... I think I'll keep mine.)

Seemed strange that a word that would normally refer to a male ends in "a", and a word that normally refers to a female ends in "o". As for your edit, if the "chicken" that "polla" refers to is a rooster (only impolite term for poultry that I could think of that's 4 letters starting in "c"), that would be VERY strange - a word where the feminine form ends in "o" and the masculine form ends in "a", the opposite of the normal pattern for Spanish.

I've been using Aria as a name practically since I joined the internet. I thought it was beautiful and poetic at the time. I still rather like it.

I was particularly amused when they named a casino in Vegas after me. Of course, I had to stay for a while...
