Maybe I'm just getting old but he does nothing at all for me...I don't even remember him particularly from the HP movies (the character, yes, the actor, no).

      • Le sigh...my store has an entire endstand dedicated to Twilight crap. Posters, CDs from the movie, board games came in today, Twilight candy hearts stamped with such sentiments as "Bite Me", and so forth.

All this for basically My Immortal with correct grammar and correctly-spelled words (I've skimmed a few parts of the book--gaaahhhhhh) and a movie based on this steaming literary turd.

I'd say it's about time for the marketers to stop dry-humping this particular cash cow and just have a cigarette already.

It's like this, first a little demonstration.

        *grabs Irv*

*dumps glitter all over Irv because, ya know, he likes glitter*

        *shines a light on him*

This? This isn't supposed to happen to vampires. At all. Ever. Having fun there Irv?
Believe it or cram it, this is my first time going through this entire thread.

Yeah, I'm having the time of my life. As long as I don't ingest it.

When do they ever get low enough to sustain rational thought?

            • A few quotes from Chester A. Bum:

And the boy is like, "You must keep my secret! No one must know!" And I'm like, "People from Egypt can tell you're a vampire! You don't hide it very well! All you need is a T-shirt saying 'I am a vampire! Bite me!'"

And then he steps into sunlight...which for some reason doesn't kill him! Because the vegetarian vampires, they get more vitamin D. And his skin starts shining like DIAMONDS! And the girl is like, "Wow! Most boyfriends just buy their girlfriend a diamond, but my boyfriend is MADE of diamonds! Can I just wear YOU on my finger?!"

But then the eeeeeeevil vampires come, and they're like:
"We want to suck your blood!"
              "Why?"
              "BECAUSE........!"
              "*GASP!*"

              • My sister wants me to read the books because as a once teenage girl I would understand the books. Uh...hmmm....no. First off, I HATE vampires. They are soulless creatures who are not capable of being caring or compassionate about anything but luring their dinner home(I made a coworker laugh over that sentence). And the lion-lamb thing. It just seems to me like the author wanted to write a story about what she wished would have happened to her when she was a teenager. Sad. I think Stephen King was right about her. Honestly I'm so sick of it all. I'm not on Team Edward or Team Jacob. Frankly I'd rather be on Team Buffy!! Drive a stake through them all!!!

Excuse me, The Cullen family would beg to differ. Theyre the sparkliest of them all.

                      LOL.

As much as I did like the book, that part there confuses me the most. Where the hell did she come up with that and WHY?

The whole series was based off of a dream she had. That might explain it.

The series was a nice, easy read. It was a good escape from reading what I was reading. I love my classic literature, but sometimes, I just want a lazy read.

I hate to admit it, but I liked the book. It appealed to my hopeless romantic side. Would I ever see the movie? No. Would I go around wearing Twilight gear and proclaiming my love for it? No. Would I read it again? Yes.

As bland as it was, it was still a nice, easy read and is good for when I feel so hopelessly romantic.

                              • My co-worker's daughter thought I might like Twillight since I'm interested in the supernatural. So I'm trying to read the book but all the overwrought teen angst keeps dripping on the floor making a huge mess. I think I'll just skip to the end of the book to see if everyone *hopefully* dies in a fiery ball of burning tar.

It took so long for Bella to say why she had to move from Phoenix up to Washington state that after awhile I thought she might have gotten pregnant, had an abortion then left cause of all the rumors flying around at her old school.
