they would hang me because i'd be one of the many in my area for the moment that would try and mail anything out for christmas after the posted date. And I have no courage as it is. That and worried that some of the cards won't make it because i'm moving by january....hugs...yeah i just....don't want to do anything but make myself clean up and pack because no one else will do it and i can't ask anyone to do so for me because its not right.
ticks away from just going down the street and walking until my feet come off....because i dun know what else to do....sorry for the melodrama.
Oh sweetheart...we don't hang people because of late Christmas cards. *snugs and hugs tight* I know some who mail theirs out on the 24th and we don't think bad of them at all. We know that sometimes stamps can't be bought in time for cards to go out before Christmas.
I have one lady on my route that every day she has ten or more cards to go out and she told me she's not even halfway through her list. I know she will still be sending those out after Christmas and I don't think any less of her. I know if I was your carrier I wouldn't think any less of you. I know what it's like to run short on the greenbacks and when things are getting close to the wire. Just remember lovely that soon it will be 2009 and all the troubles of 2008 will be last years troubles.
Work on them as you can and get them out when you can. Moving is stressful as it is and I believe most everyone here has their own moving stories where everything just became overwhelming. We're here if you need someone to lean on or to vent to. Remember that and just take these last days of '08 as they come, one day at a time.

Reason: Double post
So I got my Entertainment Weekly magazine a few days ago and tossed it in the pile of crap on my couch. I decided to flip through it today and discovered there were two actual pieces of mail that were stuck in it. One was something for my roommate and the other was a very cute card from DGoddessChardonnay. Thanks!

I am so glad that I signed up . . .these cards really do help.
Is it ok that I tear up with some of the cards?
I am honestly greatful for every single one of them.
Thank you everyone.
OK...finally got everything done.
Cards will go out today.
Sorry if people have trouble getting the envelopes open.
I discovered much too late that the ones that came with the note cards I used had no glue, so I had to use a glue stick to seal them.
Too tired of living and too tired to end it. What a conundrum.
I mailed the rest of them out yesterday. *whew*! I had to put the cards in the outside mailbox as the slots inside the post office were full to over capacity! Yeah. Now I have to mail out the cards to local family and friends.
Though I may get more even after Christmas since I have all my mail forwarding to my temporary address.
I haven't opened any of them yet, because I want to wait until Christmas day to do that. Something I did last year and I thought it was a lot of fun opening the cards on the day of. Last year I took the return addresses and postal stamps and cut them out and taped them in the cards. I kept all the cards up until sometime in February. My friends and family thought it was really cool to see addresses from all over the US and far parts of the world. So I will do the same this time as well.

It'll be late, but my US cards should be going out tomorrow.
Since everyone's in the US, and they're being sent from the US, I hope no one minds they aren't going to have actual stamps on them. If I have to buy stamps AND stamp them, they'll be a lot later than if I have the school's post office run them all through for me.

I've very slickly managed to mail a couple of the cards to myself, I probably won't have time to get them out again 'till next week, I want to see if I messed up any others.
