These are the new Nikes I treated myself to last month.

Not the actual shoes, I'll take a pic of those later. But these are identical to what they look like:

I have a pair of these:

They hold up well, and keep your feet dry, but they are not the most comfortable hikers in the world. Too inflexible in the toe. They're fine only till you have to stoop down and hyper flex your foot. But they are fairly light, and took me through a year of extremely heavy and constant use. I wore the treads off these doing the show NatureScene when I worked at Public Television.

Okay, got my picture card working, at least for now. Here's my stripey pumps from Shoe Shoe:

When a person wears 2.5 in YOUTH size (as in KIDS), there aren't enough socks in the world to make my feet big enough to fit into shoes sized for adults.
Two of my sisters and I can sympathize from the opposite end of the spectrum.

None of the three of us have much money to splurge, let alone on shoes. I've got the smallest feet out of the three of us at 11 women's. One sister is in 12's, the other in 13's. (Yes, she wears a size 13 in women's shoes.) Payless is the only store where we've found not-ugly-or-cheap dressy shoes in our price range, and I still have to buy my boots in the men's department of any store I go to.

Ahah! Someone else that wears a size 11 shoe.

I'm 5'11, so having big feet is obviously not strange, but it sucks when your mother and sister are both 5'2 with size 8 feet. It's not fair.

Yeah? My other two sisters are within an inch of my height (which is 5'11") and have size 9 feet. ::JEALOUS::

I very rarely wear shoes because of my feet are odd. I can't wear anything but above ankle boots because i sometime i twist my ankle and it helps. other shoes rage from uncomfortable to painful.

the shoes below: If where im going, its appropriate to wear them, they are on my feet. I dont know, I just love them so.

Speaking of feet: I was going to buy myself a pair of Dansko's (professional clogs) as a graduation present, they run about $125 so it was a big splurge for me. I go to the store and inquire. The shoe guy sits me down and measures my feet.....then he laughs.

"Theres no WAY you'd be able to fit your feet in any Dansko's" he shares "Your feet measure 2E, which means theyre double wide..."

While I sit there and cuss under my breath, my husband starts to laugh uncontrollably....Ive just been told I got fat feet. LOL..

But being the good salesguy he is, he write down 2 model numbers of New Balance sneakers that come in 2E (aka fat ass feet sized) but when I went home and look them up, they were sooo ugly...LOL. Oh, well.

                      The infamous "hooker boots."

                      Becks found these at Goodwill.

I'll have to have Becks help me take better pics. Mine don't do justice.

                        Well, here's the current rotation:

From top to bottom: birkenstocks, and two pairs of Pumas. Because Puma's swoosh is so much cooler than Nike's.
A couple of years ago our city's police force started getting new cars, and they redesigned the logo. The first thing that popped into my head when I saw it was "That looks just like a pair of Pumas!" It has the same swoosh on the side.
