Is this normal?
I was travelling last week, and as we were coming in for landing I got a MASSIVE pain in the head. It was like every side of my brain was being squeezed, like my entire head was in a vice. Man oh man that HURT!!! I thought I was going to pass out.
I had somewhat blocked sinuses at the time, having had a hayfever attack on the plane.
I've flown a few times before, and suffer hayfever constantly, but I've never had that. Is it something to worry about or does this just happen with blocked sinuses sometimes?
The massive massive pain lasted maybe 15 seconds or so then it was down to just plain "ouch that freaking hurts" for a few minutes and then shadow pain for an hour or so.

Sounds like your brain swelled up. Dunno what it could be, really.

I am glad the pain didn't last with you though. When it happens to me when I'm walking around, it can stay like that for a couple hours.
