Heh, I'm probably doomed to another c-section, which, considering my ex-husband is shorter and skinnier than Sir, I'm kind of happy. Sir is 6'2" and probably at LEAST 210lbs. I'm only 5'5"-5'8" (never can get the same reading twice in a row!). My son is already almost 3' long, and he just turned a year old...

I'm kind of hoping for a VBAC this time around, but at least I don't have to worry much about my kids being too big. I'm almost the same size as Hubby (three inches shy of his height and probably 10-15 pounds heavier--mostly muscle). The only reason I had a C-section the first time was because Daughter decided to be a drama queen and have as many complications as humanly possible.
Yay for being tall and quite wide-hipped.
And it's not always a problem if you're shorter than your husband. My father is about the same height as Hubby (6'2") and sturdily built. My mom, on the other hand, comes up to my nose in height (I'd guess about 5'6" or so?), and until her third child was reasonably slim (evidence to me that I need to make sure to work off all the baby weight). She delivered five children, including at least one baby porker, vaginally with no complications, and all of us are on the taller end of things."Enough expository banter. It's time we fight like men. My sister wants to do things naturally...I mean, she doesn't want a C-section. She doesn't want the scar that it leaves behind.
My mother had three children vaginally and the twins were by C-section. She would have birthed them naturally, but the twins weren't lining up right or they were twisted...something like that.
Anyhow, thanks everyone for your thoughts. My sister is doing okay right now, but the doc said that the baby is probably going to be early and they want to hold things off as long as possible so the baby can put on more weight.

My 2nd son was born at 36 weeks exactly. He spent one night in the nursery (not even the NICU) and has been fine since.
He was 6lbs 13 oz. 1st son was born at 36w5d, he was fine as well. They may give her some steroid shots to help the baby's lungs along, but once she gets to 36w they may not try to stop her anymore.
Congrats on your new neice!

The boy is 6 foot tall and weighs around 300 pounds. I'm only around 5"3 and weigh less than him (let's not talk specifics).
Our son was born and he was 19.5 inches long and weighed 5 pounds 14.9 ounces and he was born right around 40 weeks. He's just a little peanut, he favors my side of the family.

My issue is that I'm *truly* tiny.
Currently, being about 10lbs over my ideal weight, I have a 27" waist. When I'm at my ideal, it's 21". Hips are anywhere from 30"-35", depending on how much extra weight I'm carrying. Not to mention, most of my family (barring immediate, they're all tiny) tends towards the tall side - I have two cousins well over 6', two at about 6', and my only female cousin is 5'8". My sister and I are the odd ones out for being as small as we are (she's 5'2", 105lbs...maybe).
And yeah, barring massive complications, I'd prefer a totally natural birth.
