  • How do you unwind?

How do you unwind at the end of a long work day? One of my newest fixes to feeling better is "Destroy All Humans! Big Willy Unleashed" for the Nintendo Wii. My wife bought it for me shortly after Christmas. I kind of intentionally avoided it during the semester when I needed to be studying instead. Now that the semester is over, I'm back to destroying all humans! I find it rather therapeutic to imagine my video game victims being what I want to do to sucky customers and entitlement whores from the convenience store job.

I sick on the comfy spot of the couch. The one where you can kinda lay back. I sit here, and get on my laptop. And it feels soooooooooooo good.

Book, or writing. Reading/writing about other people's problems makes me feel better.

A soft, soft kitty on my lap helps too.

Lately I close the door to my room and read. I also find drawing Monseiur Mallah tends to relax me.

          Only him, for some reason...

I come here a lot. Watch too much TV. Read.

I plop down on the 'puter, take a walk, settle down on the couch with comfy clothes and watch a movie, or settle down in bed and talk on the phone.

As weird as it may sound, I have found the best way for me to unwind lately is to spend 10-15 min on my cross trainer. I get a good workout and it's great for venting frustration.

If not that, then a nice hot bubble bath with a good book, a glass of merlot and Il Divo on the Ipod

"We don't have a gold plated toilet"

It depends on the type of day. Most I unwind with Guitar Hero Metallica. I'll do 3 or 4 songs. Usually something like battery, whiplash, beautiful morning (machine head).

If it's a bad day. The same but two shots of Jagermeister before I start to get that warm and fuzzy feeling.

Really really bad days require other things

normally it's either a movie, Fable (I love that game... thank you for being one of the few fantasy games where I can have a gay character, I like Final Fantasy, but Yuna just isn't my type ), Final Fantasy also works occasionally... sometimes reading... and I love Sim City.

What is this unwind you speak of?

It depends on the type of day I've had. Most days I flop down on the couch and watch TV for a bit.

But if the lawn needs mowing that relaxes me too odd as it may sound. There's nothing out there but just walking around the yard, loud noise so no one can bother me.

Sadly sometimes I eat which I know is bad.

And on Friday or Saturday nights I like to go out with my friends.

I'm either on the porch in the rocking chair, listening to music on the laptop or doing housework (believe it or not, that helps when you're stressed.)

A good book helps too, especially at night when you're trying to relax enough to go to sleep.
