"Nova"....That show's been on since 1974 and my dad loves it. "Entertainment Tonight".

I loved "Prison Break", hate that it ended, but knew it had to.
I'm ecstatic that they renewed "Lie to Me", that show is awesome.

      "Reality" TV.

Survivor is Idiots on an Island. Sadly, it's not totally real. Charles Darwin needs to pay them a visit.

Big Brother - Idiots in a House. Watching Airline or Inside Supermax is much more real than that.

Amazing Race - best of a bad lot - had has the best quote ever. "I'm lost and I don't have a clue!!!!elventy!!!111"

        They're doing their job.

My roommate about 7 years ago got his car repossessed ... he was out of work and couldnt make the payments. They were clean, neatly dressed and polite.

They aren't always jackasses. There is no reason not to be professional about things.

My rant is about Dog the Bounty Hunter. Who the fuck wears black heavy clothing in freaking hawaii ... while trying to sneak up on someone. Dress in bright florals and blend in ...

I'll agree with you on that Pep. One show I particularly liked in Australia was called headland. A bit of a murder-mystery added with a glimpse into Australian uni life, the plot was good and surprisingly kept me awake, trying to work out the theories behind the case. It got canned about 32 episodes in however due to "supposed" low ratings.

Does he do the PSA at the end? If not, it's not really The Price is Right.
Yes Carey does still promote spaying and neutring though he usually mumbles a lot and comes off half assed about everything (even in games hes kinda stoic)

And also I LOVE WIFE SWAP. its really bad by now they find the strangest families that are (obvious) complete opposites. its a lot of fighting and hilarity often ensues

After last night's Law and Order: SVU, I'm incredibly surprised it's still ticking. What the hell was that?
Ah, tally-ho, yippety-dip, and zing zang spillip! Looking forward to bullying off for the final chukka?

In fairness to reality TV, I actually enjoyed Bull Run, and look forward to another season. Some of the personalities suck, but I'm always interested to see the different cars that are entered, and what the drivers can get them to do in the challenges.

Dont forget the "Halloween" franchise, still going strong after over 30 years. Now Rob Zombie's working on a sequel to his REMAKE of the first Halloween!

It never occurred to me that if a movie has too many sequels, just remake the original one and just build sequels from there.

I haven't even heard of that before, so I'll assume it's another case of the TV station setting it up to fail by playing it at stupid o'clock on Someday. (Just like they did with Firefly, Battlestar Gallactica, etc)

You know how people can be with Lost... you can have a polar bear attack, a building exploding, and a whole lot of exposition and some people will still say nothing happened in that ep.

Not really a show, but a network -- MTV. What the hell does the "M" stand for anyway? It hasn't been "Music" for roughly two decades.

                            Moron? Masturbatory? Mutated?
I've been saying for at least a couple years that MTV now stands for MUNDANE TV.

The Babylon 5 fans should especially appreciate that joke.

Also, as a point of order to the OP, Cops was cancelled like, 2 years ago.
                            I didn't realize that!

But then again, I mainly copied & pasted my original list that I posted on another forum 2-3 years ago. I knew that ER had finally ended its run after 15 seasons, so I removed it from my list. Somehow, the fact that Cops was canceled escaped my notice... however, My Network TV (the old UPN stations... at least here in MD, anyway) is currently running knock-offs of it, so in a way, it's still around!

Better yet, how about old logos that never die??? The ESPN logo, with that futuristic 80's touch, has been around for nearly a quarter of a century. The MTV logo is still intact ever since its 1981 birth. And the ABC logo as well as the "Circle 7" logo from the 1960's is still used on some ABC channel 7 stations nationwide (shown below)....

Ya know... ABC 7 in Washington D.C. is GUILTY AS CHARGED!

"Reality" tv needs to DIE!!! I hate it all.
Hey now, you can't have your cake and eat it too! America's Funniest Home Videos is one of the original "reality" shows! Therefore, by your own argument, it must die! QED

Actually, the Japanese hit on that idea all the way back in 1984, when they decided to make a sequel to the original Gojira (Better Known As Godzilla here in the States) that completely ignored all previous sequels, thus creating a second continuity for the adventures of everyone's favorite big, pissed off, irradiated monster!

They wrapped up that continuity just in time for the release of the American version of Godzilla. When that proved unpopular with audiences worldwide, they then started up a 3rd continuity, once again ignoring everything except the original film from the 1950s. The 3rd continuity, made within the last 10 years, includes some of the best Godzilla movies ever made and I highly recommend them for that reason!

--Jack (who still loves the occasional Godzilla movie! )
