First, Power Rangers: Holy Shit it's still on! Dude that came out in the States like 15 years ago! Ever since Space it's gone down hill (what? I use to watch it....). And it's still on?! *watches a recent ep* Wow that's was lamer than season 1....

im surprised the price is right is dangling on post Bob Barker though. Drew Carey is OK as host but its not the same
Yeah pretty much everyone I know doesn't watch that show anymore. Drew Carey just doesn't have the same energy he did in Who's Line. Everytime I've watched him he looks bored and unenthusiastic, like he doesn't want to be there or something.

what's sad is how many crappy shows still are playing
yet cool stuff like Firely dies after just one season
Yeah remember Sliders? Stargate SG-1 (), Stargate Atlantis, Farscape and other such cool genre shows that Sci Fi canned. Yet Sci Fi keeps Eureka (which is ok but not as good as the others mentioned), Ghost Hunters, ECW (A wrestling show).

In fact why is ECW on Sci Fi anyway? Oh excuse me it's Syfy now.....

Dont forget the "Halloween" franchise, still going strong after over 30 years. Now Rob Zombie's working on a sequel to his REMAKE of the first Halloween!

It never occurred to me that if a movie has too many sequels, just remake the original one and just build sequels from there.
and what do you think they are doing with the Star Trek Fanchise???????? yup lets do a WHOLE new thing but with the same old original ST: TOS characters. new universe new stuff so it can live on longer than William Shatner's PriceLine commercials. yes I do like Trek but.....

Oh and let us not forget about the other great show SciFi screwed up and canned after they got a hold of it form Comedy Central: yes folks MST3K (yes I am a closet Mystie)

And if you happen to be an extremely cute wife of said director (Rob Zombie) you get to be in nearly all of his movies.

Anyone wanna bet Shari Moon will be in the next Halloween as some other character?

Cops will be on the air forever. It costs absolutely nothing to make, and is regularly tops in it's timeslot, (Saturday night deadtime) Same with AFV. Although it costs a little more to make because of the host, it's still practically free.

I can't think of any shows that I have a hard time believing are still around, however, I have a hard time believing that CBS is canceling Guiding Light. There may only be so much you can do with that show, but it's a freaking legend! Shows like that should never be canceled, unless they somehow generate negative ratings. It should be up to the producers to decide when to end it. ON the bright side, at least they're talking about putting a Pyramid revival on in its place, without dick clark sadly.

You're thinking of America's Most Wanted (AMW). AFV is Americas Funniest Videos. Although they both dall under the same catagory of production and all.

What's funny about that show "Cops" is that the Fox execs didn't even think it would work out because nobody supposedly didn't want to watch an unscripted, reality-based show. It was turned down at first. But with a writer's strike looming the execs reluctantly give the producers the green light.

From what I remember Fox has tried to cancel "America's Most Wanted" several times. But each time they did they got inundated with complaints by various law enforcement agencies as well as many state governors demanding they put it back on.

I have to admit I watched ER right up until the end. As much as I loved the show, though, it really was time for it to go.

Speaking of soap operas, I heard something on the radio this morning about one long running soap in which two characters want to get married... apparently everybody's forgotten that they're siblings.

Maybe not! Maybe they remember that, and their plan is to have the siblings move to Alabama where that kind of thing is tolerated!
