Just slightly baffling that they extended that amount of credit so readily. Four minutes or so and she came back to the counter without checking anything other than my account information.

I know I'm a good risk, unless I lose my job, but... That said, banks love to lend money to people who don't need it. Heh.

Pictures may be forthcoming. Will need nudging, though.

Well, it is credit, but it's an overdraft. Here in the U.S., they will usually pull the payments directly from your checking account each month. As long as you have an account with a bank for a while and follow the rules, they expect you to stay with them, and they'll get their money back, with interest.

Overdraft over here, as far as I'm aware, is an amount you can go into the red without them raising their eyebrows. Can pay it back as and when you like within terms.

Congrats, Raps. Be sure to post pictures of the Bastardmobile Mark II.
http://www.customerssuck.com/media/mkIIbmobile.jpg if you want to see it - didn't bother shrinking the photo, so it's nearly one Mb in size.

The Mark I Bastardmobile is on Ebay as we speak with just less than two days to go. I don't know how, but it's currently at £97.32 or so. Why the pence? No idea. Amuses me, though.

End of an era. The Bastardmobile Mk I just went for £185 on Ebay. Better in my pocket than someone else's.

Just need them to collect it after paying. Huzzah!

Sometimes I love eBay. Like once I placed a Snoopy cup on auction. I paid $.99 for it and got $55 for it.

                    That's quite impressive.

It's the best part of twenty-four hours since he placed his bid, but I've yet to receive payment. Not worried yet, but there's definitely a 'yet' in there.

                      Oh for fuck's sake.

Got a note from the winning bidder's spouse last night to say he was a long-distance lorry driver and he'd be back to deal with it today. Now I get a note saying it was for his brother and due to unexpected expense (vet bill for a dog - hope the dog's ok) then they can't go through with the deal. Going via the second chance offer - next highest was £180. If that and the third place fall through, I'll have to relist.

Back tyres were losing pressure slowly. Went to have them checked for punctures. They're the original ones. Low mileage means low wear, and they've not been done since ... ever. Cracks in them.

                        My credit card says, "Ow!".

On the plus side, the second-placed winner of the auction came and paid cash for the vehicle today, taking it away on the back of a flat bed truck. Last flight of the bastardmobile.

Of note, I'm trying to work out how to tell Ebay that he's got it now. Anyone got any ideas?

You should be able to mark as paid, and mark as despatched.

The original seller has failed to live up to it so I gave a second chance to another guy. What do I do from here? The original bid is still up awaiting payment.
