Just a quick question because I am considering whether or not I am going to write a letter to the corporate offices for sub way. There is a restaurant by where I work, and I have gone there quite a bit in the past because its close and convenient.
I went in a couple of days ago, and ordered my sandwich (a foot long chicken breast on Italian Herbs and Cheese bread). They toasted it, and all was fine. Now came the time for toppings. I requested no lettuce, to which they complied. Still all is fine. I asked for cucumbers. They put ONE cucumber on each side. I asked for black olives. They gave me THREE black olives. One on each side and one in the middle. they originally had four in their hand but counted them out and threw one back in the container. Then I asked for onions...ended up with 2 pieces of onion.
Of course I asked for extra topping, to which they replied they could double the counts but they would have to charge me $1.50 for extra toppings. I replied no thanks, and paid my bill. I asked why they were being so skimpy on toppings, and they replied it was dictated by corporate Sub Way because they were losing so much money on $5 foot longs.
So should I write the letter? I don't know if I am being sucky or not, but I can guarantee I will go to McDonald's next door from now on.
