I doubt I'd go so far as to say I'm "otherkin" or anything like that, but I do identify closely with dragons. I hoard, nest, I'm protective of both, I'm solitary, my feeding habits are predatory, and I'm damn fast and quiet for my size. And anyone who's pissed me off irl knows I might as well be breathing fire when I'm yelling. They'd probably get away less singed.

Interesting. I don't necessarily feel akin to animals. But I've always loved wolves, dolphins, butterflies, and scorpions (like it would surprise anyone that knows me that at least one on the list isn't cute and cuddly).
If I had an animal persona, I'd definitely say Phoenix, due to my miraculous tendency to rise from the ashes after life throws me another curve that sends me down in flames. I've had a fascination with them for a long time. Even had one on my class ring in high school.
I don't think I could ever wear a fur-suit. Not while keeping a straight face anyway. Not that I'm saying anything against those who can. Hell, I said goodbye to "normal" ages ago."You are loved" - Plaidman.

Geee....guess what animal I love?? LOL.
Whenever I hear noises that are too loud or annoy me, I always imagine cat ears flat back. I will hiss (usually in jest) and whenI was in school, I'd meow across the quad to get friend's attentions (this was actually practical, as most of my friends had rather generic names....they knew to look if they heard the meow)
Interesting thing about the dragons.....I'm a hoarder and nester as well, and I don't let anyone take my food.
Ahhh....snow leopard....I've been drawn to this cat of late. I mean, I have always loved snow leopards, but just the past few years I have been more drawn. (getting over hatred of winter, increasing love of mountains). And I have always adored cheetahs."Getting to the top is optional. Getting down is mandatory." _Ed Viesturs

"Holy shit, I just felt as if a pair of ears went flat at the top of my head!! Like, you know, it felt like I had ears up there and they went flat!!!"
Sometimes hubby turns to me and says that he swears he can see a tail swishing behind me in irritation/joy. I always thought it's be neat to have a tail...had a discussion in college about that, just thinking about the muscle control and having a tail twitch when you weren't aware of it."Getting to the top is optional. Getting down is mandatory." _Ed Viesturs
