Let's see, On the beach during schoolies week

Quick explanation for the non-Aussie folk.

Schoolies week is a week-or weekend-that occurs around exam time for year 12 students. Basically it's celebrating the end of their education, and generally is an excuse to get drunk, party like mad, do the horizontal salsa and make new friends.

Some states in Australia run organisations for this event, so that students don't get too drunk and make asses of themselves in the town. Generally speaking, I know that SA Year 12's hit Victor Harbour (a coastal town) and that others will go to the Gold Coast (another town in Queensland)

When my hubby and I bought our new house, we decided to "christen" every room of the house.

Hanging out the side of the car while stopped on a deserted road (there were two moons out that night).

In a lake, near a public beach (though we were the only ones there at the time).

I mentioned the thread to my hubby, and he said "on the hood of a car, in a field, on the Fourth of July, with fireworks going off overhead." I said, "hey, that wasn't me!"

V club card holder myself, but as far as the things leading up to the act, I once did in the middle of a public park, in the main clearing, during a lightning storm, and I kid you not, lightning struck within 100 feet of us while this was happening. That was a good night.

ETA: Also, a movie theater when we were litterally the only two people watching that screening of that movie.

I have very fond memories of schoolies week, 50,000 people decended on the Gold Coast where it took half an hour to get from maccas to the BK across cavill mall, on a normal day it would take about 20 seconds, there was that many people there.

So it was Surfers Paradise beach that we ahem I'm sure heaps of people walked past us
