Roomie and I are watching Inglourious Basterds and it should be over just in time to watch the ball drop.

Saw a commercial for the movie Panic Room on cable...do they mention Jodie Foster as the star to entice you to watch? No, Kristen Stewart... (while they show pictures of Jodie Foster...)

I actually punched out a couple minutes before 9 (a miracle!), came home, ate, went to Lizziebeff's for a shot, came home, celebrated for Eastern time, waited, celebrated for Central time, waited, then went to sleep.

Well I worked NYE until 4pm. Had tea, phoned the lass who's on holidays at the moment then spent the night watching The Big Bang Theory.

Today (NYD) I had 15 people coming for lunch. Roast pork with all the trimmings and treacle sponge for afters.

Then spent the afternoon playing on farmville, sleeping and waiting for Dr Who.

BE, if I'd been off, I would've tried to celebrate for every time zone.

                    Maybe next year.

Well, the streak is not broken. I still have not stayed home on NYE since 1986. While I was not 100%, I was feeling much better NYE, and rather than get out at 7ish, they cut me at 5ish, which was an unexpected bonus. I waited for my friend to get off work at her bar, then we went to dinner, then out to a couple bars, had fun, had some drinks, then I went home at about 1:30 am, rather than my usual closing of the bars at 4 am, because I was still not 100% and, frankly, because I had to open the bar on NYD.

But I had fun. And I no longer felt like Leftover Death.

Except, you know, for the fact that when I asked them what their plans were they already had them. So, this is one of those times you get to be horribly wrong.

I actually meant to call my sister in England at midnight her time, which was 7 pm my time, especially since I got off of work early....but I got distracted talking to people, and forgot until about 7:30. Whoops!

I ended up having to go to bed early, as I had to be at work Friday at 7 (due to MA being given New Year's off,) so I had to miss watching the ball drop and hanging out online that I had planned.

And I have a bottle of champagne in the fridge that I was saving for New Year's that's still unopened . . . I think I'll save that for the day I make the last laptop payment later this month instead.

We did make to the party....was rather fun....we got home around 2am (we are usually wimps who crash at 11)

Spent New Years Day inside all day....just chillin in out PJs, watching Fraggle Rock and To Wong Foo.

Saturday was dinner at his parents (where his dad is trying to get me plan a suprise party, oh vey!)

Sunday was shopping (new hiking jacket)

All in all....a good way to start the New Year

Well NYE at work was INSANE!! Seriously I've never seen it THAT busy on NYE before. At one point we had every register open with lines backed up to the aisles for a good hour or so.

But I had lots of fun that night hanging with CWs. We did a lot of talking which mainly consisted of bitchin about certain Co-irkers and people in management. Plus alcohol of course, which made things so much more entertaining.
