Debatng over getting a Wii

Super Paper Mario - While I miss the RPG element of the Paper Mario series, it's a really fun sidescroller.

I really enjoyed Super Paper Mario...but I still want to download the original Super Mario RPG for SNES which was by far the best of that series. The Paper Marios were just too kiddy-fied.

Plus, if you and the wife have people over a lot, the Wii is a lot of fun for parties and stuff. Drunk cow racing, FTW!

Heck, even sober it's loads of fun. We were about falling out of our chairs..and we hadn't even had anything more potent than Dr. Pepper or Diet Pepsi.

Well, my wife has shot down the idea pretty quickly reciting her "no video games in the house". She has some notion that I'll sit in front of it all day and play games.

I even tried to tell her that it could help her keep her upper body in shape since a lot of things (like heavy exercising) she can't do now with the condition of her hips.

Should I be frightened that with the exception of Cooking Momma and Trauma Center that Kara's list of games for the Wii is identical to mine? That being said if you do go for the Wii and Metroid just get the trilogy, you can get it for the same price as Prime 3 and you get 3 games instead of 1.
