    Here are my picks:

1- Clint Eastwood (I will cry.... but he's getting up there)
2- Chuck Norris (he's got to take over the afterlife at some point)
3- Bill Shatner (again, getting up there in years)
4- Elton John (dunno why, I just have a feeling)
5- Joaquin Phoenix (whippersnapper pick, he's 35 and he kind of makes me feel like he's going to be doing away with himself soon)
6- Etta James (yes, she's still alive - and TEN YEARS younger than my MIL would be)
7- Sylvester Stallone (seems like a Charles Atlas thing waiting to happen)
8- John Cleese (I don't want him to die, I really don't.... and on that basis, he will)
9- Michael Moriarty (since his days on Law & Order, has turned into an incoherent fat guy)
10- Freddie Highmore (whippersnapper pick just to round the list out)

Gah... I'm beginning to realize that a lot of the actors/actresses that I've liked for a long time are getting old!

Incidentally, for the person who chose Bob Barker - he's had two heart operations and a stroke - does he still count?

After the recent deaths of celebrities, I decided to put my own picks in. Never know when the next one or two will go.

      1. Lindsay Lohan -- she's probably going to fall overboard drunk or something.
      2. Hugh Hefner -- he's not going to get any younger but I bet the man will live to see 200 anyways.
      3. Tim Burton -- as much as I hate to put one of my favorite directors on here, he may just kick the bucket with doing so many movies at once.
      4. Betty White -- she's the last of the 'Golden Girls', I bet she won't see the end of the year.
      5. Alan Rickman -- one of my favorite actors, he'll probably go not long after the second part of the last Harry Potter movie premieres.
      6. J.K. Rowling -- speaking of Harry Potter....
      7. Michelle Duggar -- I'm also putting her on the list, I'm surprised her body has managed to survive this long with so many births. Heck, I'm surprised her lady parts have, too.
      8. Rachel Ray -- she just doesn't slow down, at all. I don't think this woman even sleeps.
      9. Lenoard Nimoy -- hey, gotta keep up with the Star Trek theme.
      10. Stephine Meyers -- I'll admit that I somewhat enjoyed the Twilight series, but they aren't the greatest things I've read.

Eh, one day I'll have something useful here. Until then, have a cookie or two.

Okay, I am far too hungover and lazy at the moment to look this shit up, so...

8- Rene Angelil (Now that Celine's pregnant with twins... seems likely)
10- Freddie Highmore (whippersnapper pick just to round the list out)
        Who ARE these people?

If he's not in a rest home, sure, why not?

I'll take that bet. The woman is the definition of the word "spry." What is the wager? I'll put up the cocktail of the winner's choice (super premium outrageously priced top end stuff excluded).

        5. Alan Rickman -- one of my favorite actors, he'll probably go not long after the second part of the last Harry Potter movie premieres.
He's the Voice of God. He's not going anywhere.

        9. Lenoard Nemoy

Rene Angelil is Celine Dion's husband manager. He's become quite famous for getting her to marry him and now produces a few other people as well. He's been famous in his own right for at least 20 years in Canada, only for the last 5 or so in the US (since they moved to Vegas). He's like a zillion years older than her, thus why it was such a shock when she decided to marry the guy who's been her manager since she was TWELVE.

Freddie Highmore is a child actor. He's been in TONS of shit... Spiderwick Chronicles and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory to name two of the bigger recent flicks.

I will pick someone else if you want me to remove Angelil, but Freddie Highmore is like THE child actor right now

If he is famous only for being married to someone famous, I am going to disallow him. If he is actually famous in Canada for something other than that, I will allow him. I am too hungover and too lazy right now to look him up, so you tell me.

I think you mean "her" right there.

Being an actor does not make someone a celebrity. I personally worship Bonnie-Jaye Lawrence, but recognize that, as she has only ever been in one film, she is not a celebrity.

This one I will have to look into.

            Later.

            After the hangover.

            Fucking hangover.

Okay, I'll concede on Angelil, but Freddie Highmore is the MAIN CHARACTER in both the movies I mentioned I'm not giving in on that one. He's this kid. He was also the main character in "Arthur and the Invisibles", he was the voice of AstroBoy, and he was one of the boys in "Finding Neverland". He's literally the most visibly recognizable male child actor out there right now

I am deeply ashamed of the typing error. Normally I catch those before I even see them on the screen (it just FEELS wrong when I've typed a mistake). I shall edit my post to modify my picks

Highmore is fine, Angelil isn't.....and I see you changed it. Cool beans.

Thank you for making my work easier.

And thank you for reminding me of the awesomeness that is Bonnie-Jaye Lawrence. Mmmm......

I'm sorry, but I'm crying foul on the exclusion of Rene Angelil.

He is not just famous because he's married to Celine Dion.
Prior to discovering Celine, he actually managed the careers of 2 well known Canadian singers, as well as having a singing career of his own in his early days.

He created Celine Dion. Yes, she's famous, and it may seem that he is only famous by extension because they're married, but he is a fairly well known name in Canada, even if you've never heard of him beyond the borders of your American state.

Is it worth saying that if someone has a Wikipedia entry then they've got a good chance of being considered worthy of consideration? Many wikipedia entries are deleted because people aren't famous enough.

Upon further review (translation: I actually looked the fucker up), I rescind my earlier exclusion of Mr. Celine. If you want to add him back to your list, tollbaby, knock yourself out.

Oh, I know that. But I couldn't resist, because that particular error was quite funny, and I knew it was completely unintentional....and because I knew it would make her laugh. For that, I never apologize.

LOL It's ok... I don't mind the substitution or the typing nazi comment - it was just a brainfart typing entirely the wrong word Besides, if I switch it back now, John Cleese is sure to die, whereas if I keep him on my list, I may get to keep him alive longer (Ree, I'll have to check Angelil out on wiki now, as I had no idea he'd done anything before Celine - he certainly hasn't done much since, but I guess her parents wouldn't have let just ANY creepy old perv manage their daughter).

In this particular case, however, with Celine Dion's family being a very large and protective, close-knit one, I think tollbaby's comment would be correct.

Besides, that isn't exactly the topic of the thread, now, is it?
