Pssh, me and Jester aren't arguing. ;p

and wow on the Water Challenge. Seriously? Talk about pulling punches for the precious snowflakes. Avoiding being soaked is the entire point of the challenge, and it really drives the bad habits home when you get soaked because of them.

    But a drip? Really?

From the sounds of it and from what I read on Wiki, the American Worst Driver is closer to the British style of the show than the Canadian style. So you're stealing from the Brits again. Australia and Holland and a few other networks do a more Canadian style of the show with the rehab centre I think, based on the clip show at the end of the first season.

Oh and keep in mind a few things about Canadian driving:

      * The 401 in Toronto is the 2nd busiest stretch of highway in North America, second only to the highways around LAX. Correction, a quick google shows that at an average of 425,000 vehicles per DAY, the 401 in Toronto is the busiest highway in North America.

      * Montrealers are the worst drivers period. Boston comes really close, but as an american friend once said "I've never seen a stretch limo double parked in a residential street until I came here."

      * Quebec in general has the worst maintained highways in the country, and possibly in North America. They tore down 3 bridges a few years back because one of them lost chunks of concrete and killed someone. (Add to that Quebec and Montreal's driving rules like no right turns on red, and the generally messed up highways; at one point going through Montreal, the opposing lanes of the highway you are travelling are on your right, not your left; and Montreal is a mess.)

Driving a U-Haul throuhg Montreal is something I've done once... and never want to do again. I still don't know how my parents have done it pulling an RV Trailer 6 times and counting now. (Granted my dad was a traffic chopper reporter in Montreal back in the 70's so he does somewhat know the city, but we haven't lived there in 30 years)

It's more of a case of with the new tank, if you bounce for example, the water may go onto the driver/passenger, but it's not guaranteed, nor is it 100% that goes to them (a fair bit can actually only hit the hood of the vehicle in the right circumstance), but the pipes are funneled right on top of the driver/passenger, and it would take a TREMENDOUS bounce to get the water over that tank. With the pipe system, all the water lost went down the pipe, which means it went right to the driver/nominator.

Meh, I'll see you and raise to 2 stretch Hummers. The first double parked and the second Triple parked right beside it.

Whoa whoa, GK, Jester, I didn't mean to start an argument over bad driving! And yeah, I knew you were talking about a show, I just found it funny that you referred to it as 'culture'. Was just poking a little fun.
Relax. Seriously. After all, GK and I are hardly the easily offended type.

So you're stealing from the Brits again.
Why not? We once stole an entire country from them! And we're getting quite a bit of use of it to this day.

Still a matter of opinion. And I have to say, I have seen the above, and the other things you described, and WORSE, all right here in the good ole United States of Sucky Drivers.

You obviously have never driven in Mexico. I don't know much Spanish, but I am betting that the phrase "road maintenance" does not translate, at least not into Mexican Spanish. Ay carumba!

Lace Neil Singer wants it back! Even it it is well-used!

OT: I'm in the market for a nice used Sherman to deal with all the cloons that will be trying out their stunts for when they audition on the roads around here.

                A Sherman's too thin-skinned. go for a Pershing or a M-60 at the least.

Or, go Foreign; there's a few Working Panthers available, and T-34s are everywhere.
