I didn't prepare enough. We have lots of food, but I only had a six pack of beer and I'm already halfway through with it.
I've got an ample stocked bar with Barton's Canadian, Smirnoff vokda and Jim Beam in addition to a fresh box of Franzia white in the fridge.

We didn't get much at all down here in my part of NC. Just a couple of inches on top of what was left over from last weekend (we got around 6 inches last Friday night/Saturday)

By the time I left work yesterday at 6 p.m., the roads were slushy wet and it was just rain coming down. Temps were just above freezing by a degree or two, so our roads weren't as treacherous as we were anticipating.

Down side is we have one side of our yard and part of our back yard that has turned into one big mud bog. Try attempting to get a 300 lb electric wheelchair down the ramp only to have it spinning in soggy wet mud at the bottom of the ramp? Mom opted to leave the chair on the front porch and just go in the back door (we have two steps with heavy duty wooden rails on our back deck.)

And the weather forecasters are talking about another system that could come through here on Tuesday.

We got an inch or two last Monday/Tuesday, another inch or two Thursday/Friday, but we're forecasted a little storm of anywhere from 2-6 inches for this coming Monday.

      So sick of it all.

I literally had to WADE through about 3ft of snow to get into my front door this morning. Lol. I had snow up past my knee. Good times. Thankfully i live very close to my job and dont have to travel by car...thought teleportation would be marjedly easier. The hospital is sending out AWD vehicles in droves to get people to work today.

We got 2 feet of snow last night. Commute home was pretty bad. Not only was the city "unprepared" (as usual) for the storm, there was an insane amount of accidents the closer I got towards home. Quite a few cars were stuck on hills, or had slid into trees/fences/poles I still don't know how I got the car over the foot or so of snow already in the driveway...but I do know that it's not going anywhere. After an hour shoveling, I had to quit. My back was killing me, and I had nowhere else to put snow. Didn't matter really, even if I could have moved the car, the street is still slick, and nothing was open.

Frozen white death from above is forecast for I.P. Freleigh's general vicinity tomorrow.

And of course people are panicking and mobbing the stores. I went out to pick up a few groceries and found the bread section at the Grocery Store of Awesome pretty much picked clean.

Milk was looking kinda thin as well.

So how much frozen white death are we supposed to get tomorrow? 5 to 9 inches. Those of you in the mid-Atlantic states are probably pissing yourself laughing right about now. I can't say I blame you.

At least I picked up one of my favorite Palermo's pizzas for tomorrow. It'll be a good day to sit around and do pretty much nothing.

ETA: The electronic message sign at Walgreens wasn't advertising their specials. It read "Weather Alert! Winter Storm Warning." Heh.

We've been getting just enough snow/ice to make things cold, wet, and irritating. And I slipped and fell on my butt twice today. :/ Back home they really got a bad storm, and Arkansas just isn't equipped to deal with it.

They're predicting more snow on Wednesday. I don't know how much by my roommate is hoping for no school.

Meh...they lowered our snow fall potential from 6+ inches down to 2-5 for my neck of the woods.

Obviously I'm relieved, but it drives me insane when they change their minds every few hours.

Forget what I said about the pizza. I had something better today--a pasty from the Grocery Store of Awesome deli.

Snowing in central Maryland, work has decided to shut down tomorrow, and he doesn't think any of us are coming in on Thursday.

Well I can't afford to lose more days of work, so I'll be sitting right here Thursday one way or another.
