I also have to add "Before He Cheats" by Carrie Underwood. I am not a fan of country music at all, but I am a fan of revenge, and the protagonist in the song just goes haywire on her scumbucket of a man. Classic. Any guy who has ever had a car he loved will understand why this is so evil.

And ya know what? I'm mad at myself AND at all of you for not mentioning perhaps one of the greatest non-romantic anti-love songs of all time. I know a lot of you are thinking that Mr. Classic Rock here is going to break out with some song from a Sixties band, but you're wrong. I have to bow and give props to Pink for possessing that title with her freakin' classic "U + Ur Hand." How can you not love a girl who just about spits out these lyrics:

"I'm not here for your entertainment
You don't really want to mess with me tonight
Just stop and take a second
I was fine before you walked into my life
    Cause you know it's over
    Before it began
Keep your drink just give me the money
It's just you and your hand tonight
    "

As a guy who hangs out with girls who often get hit on by clueless lameass douchebags, I LOVE this song. (So do most of them, incidentally.)

Keep your drink just give me the money, indeed. Classic.

    Still A Customer."

I used to dance with a girl that for the longest time didn't understand what the song was about and was totally shocked and appalled when she finally figured it out. Being the public school graduate that I am, I got it the first time. Great man-hater song.

I'm going to have to add:

                    Don't Stay by Linkin Park
                    Fighter by Christina Aguilera
I'll Take You Back by Brad Paisley
Love Should Be a Crime by O-Town
                    Kiss This by Aaron Tippin
                    White Horse by Taylor Swift
I am no longer of capable of the emotion you humans call “compassion”. Though I can feign it in exchange for an hourly wage. (Gravekeeper)

"The Great Pretender", by The Platters
"Working My Way Back To You", by The Four Seasons. The tune is catchy as all hell, but when you listen to the lyrics, you find out that the narrator is singing about how badly he treated his former girlfriend, and cheated on her, and now that he's without her, he just can't go on, so he's determined to get her to take him back. Bleah

"Caught Out There" Kelis (she actually screams in the chorus " I HATE YOU SO MUCH RIGHT NOW!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAGH!!!")

*ETA...I guess since the songs in the topic are supposed to be more FUCK YOU in terms of love, I had to update my post*

I was at work today and another painfully obvious one hit me, and I am shocked no one here got it.

"You Oughta Know" by Alanis Morrisette. The original Angry Chick with the original Angry Chick song. And if you listen to this song, and know what she is saying, MAN is that one angry freakin' chick!

All that said, this song still vibrates with hatred and contempt. You can hear the sarcasm dripping off the walls when she sings "I'm sure she'd make a really excellent mother."

And there are few better and more hateful-towards-an-ex lines in all of music than this:

"It was a slap in the face how quickly I was replaced
Are you thinking of me when you fuck her?"

Lame, yes. But anti-love or anti-romance? The narrator is trying to get back the woman he wronged. I love ya, Eireann, but I don't think this song quite fits the bill. I will admit, though, that I never really listened to the song enough to realize what a shitbag the singer was being to his chick. Just thought he lost her and was trying to get her back. Never thought about it much. Thanks for that!

I read the lyrics. I don't see how this is anti-love at all. Seriously, I just don't get it.

Agreed. I remember hearing it for the first time and thinking "Wow... She is REALLY pissed at someone." You just don't get to that level of emotion just by sitting with a pad and paper and spitballing ideas.

I remember hearing that song for the first time....well, hearing it several times and then really listening to it for the first time, and thinking "Who the hell IS this chick?" I bought the Jagged Little Pill album knowing only that song and the name of the artist, who at that time was not really well-known. (Great album, incidentally.)

And yes, the hatred is palpable. She virtually spits some of the lines in the song. And while I don't always believe everything I hear, many sources have indicated that the source of her wrath was Dave Coulier, most famous for his role as Uncle Joey on "Full House." Morrisette has never confirmed this, or who the song is about, but most rumors center on Coulier, and Coulier himself has said he believes the song is about him. Whomever it is about, they pissed this chick off something fierce, and created one of the best anti-love songs AND one of the best revenge songs ever penned. One thing is certain, though: it sure as fuck wasn't me!

In the US, that is... She had some earlier success in Canada earlier. I remember her when she was "too hot to hold".
