  • Well, what I thought would happen, happened.

About a year ago (Just under a year ago, in fact), I posted this thread:
    http://www.customerssuck.com/board/s...ad.php?t=45052

About a pair of dogs that my fiance and I were going to adopt. At the last second, the owners changed their mind, and kept them.

Well, I kept in contact with the owners. My fiance and I found two other dogs that we ended up adopting. The owners and I of the original two sort of became friends. When they went on their honeymoon, we watched the dogs for them. Those two and our dogs became such great friends and closely bonded that they came over frequently to play.

Then things got rocky. The owners started having problems, and we ended up watching them more and more often. Then the husband just up and left one day. That was in November. We've had the dogs since, fostering them in a sense until things could get settled and figured out (They paid for food, and vet bills, and gave us a little extra each month). At first the wife was going to move and try to find a house with a fenced in yard. But then, the husband moved back in, and they started working things out.

But, the husband wants nothing to do with the dogs. He wanted them out and gone before he had moved out in November. His stance still hasn't changed. In his mind, "they're just one more thing to fight about." Never mind that HE was the one that pushed her into getting big dogs when she didn't want them.

So now, these poor dogs will be going back into rescue. We would love to keep them. Both my fiance and I, and our dogs have gotten so attached to them. But we don't have the money to take on the feeding and upkeep for four dogs. They're about 2 1/2 years old and we're the 6th home (at least) that they've had.

    I'm so angry right now.

The brown and white ones are mine, the black and white two are Jokes and Lady.

    Pit bull-

There is no breed of dog more in need of our compassion; in need of our call to arms on their behalf; and in need of what should be the full force of our enduring sanctuary.

I hope theyre snatched up by a loving, capable family. They deserve it.
