He sent me a postcard when I sent in an article from a local paper about how a statue atop an area courthouse had gigantic nipples. Totally made my day also.
HAHAHAHAHA!! That's awesome! Did you hear about how he pranked a poetry site and the American Telemarketers Association?
My dad and I are history geeks, so of course we LOVE Dave Barry Slept Here, and constantly cackle over the Hawley-Smoot Tariff (and, of course, October 8th). But when I need a quick laugh, I gotta turn to Dave Barry's Book of Bad Songs.

While growing up I was singled out many times as a "heathen who will one day burn in hell". (Thanks, Grandpa. Thanks a bunch... you twat...)
Once I had children I got the "You're going to raise them to be heathens????111!!1" speech one too many times and simply started saying "YES, DAMN IT! I'm raising HEATHENS! Get over it!"
My sibs and parents started calling them my heathen children as a joke after that... and now I can always call them out of a crowd of kids by yelling "YO! HEATHENS!" My kids come running and the other kids don't. It's more effective than trying to call them by name or just saying "Kids!" because very few other children will be called "heathens".

Faith is about what you do. It's about aspiring to be better and nobler and kinder than you are. It's about making sacrifices for the good of others. - Dresden

Two are quotes I really liked (and there's many more that just don't fit in the space constraints).
One is something I saw on a gargoyle...thing, and I liked it. It describes me a bit.
