So I got a ticket today from my campus parking enforcement. Let me lay the scene, I exit... walk to my car and see a ticket. I pick it up shocked and see the reasoning is "Improperly Parked-Two Spaces" Now I looked all around my car and the only thing I could see is that the front bumper of my Buick was 2 inches into the space in front of me. I'm thinking that the car in front of me this morning must not have been all the way pulled in so when I parked I just thought I was right on the money. But seriously....2 inches, I measured. I am appealing the ticket, but I am really upset about it so I wanted you guys to take a look at my note before I submit it... I don't want to come off as being an ass....
" I was parked in lot P4 around the middle of the lot. The ticket claims I was improperly parked with the reasoning of "Two Spaces" after noticing this on my window I walked around and around my car trying to figure out just how I had managed this. The only possibility I came up with was that the 2 inches my front bumper was over the white line in front of me must have counted as taking up two spots. I am honestly confused as to how this can be counted at taking up two spaces, as there was clearly enough space for even a large car to park in the space in front of me. When I parked this morning there was another car in the space directly in front of me so I simply pulled in as normal, I guess they were not parked as close to their side of the line as I thought, thus throwing off my idea of where to park. But I did so happen to have a tape measure and I assure you it was only 2 inches over the white line, which is why I am having such a hard time understanding why it would be considered taking up 2 spaces."

I'm willing to pay the idiot fee for not displaying permit, but not the nonpay parking fee. So that's going to be joy and fun. Best of luck, Red.
