I have to work Saturday, which is when our parade is. But it's only till 11, so I won't miss it. I am going with my mom, sister, and a mutual friend.

Sundays I don't work. Not sure what I will be doing then.

Resting up for my birthday on the 5th.
Hey, there's someone else around here who has a birthday that day, too, isn't there?

I have no plans. Might see my friend. I have off on the 5th, though, so that's nice.

Working. If I'm lucky, I might miss the fireworks AND the traffic afterwords.

          Really? Who? How extremely odd.

My parents are having a 4th of July party. My dad bought some fireworks in Wyoming. It's going to be an awesome fun time.

One of my aunts lives in a well-to-do gated community. They have a 4th of July celebration every year that includes a parade, fireworks, a cookout, games, rides, and a movie. Mom, another aunt and her family, and I are going there for the 4th. We're cooking brats, hamburgers, and grilled chicken for lunch and swimming in my aunt's pool until the parade starts.

Some friends of ours are coming in to town on Saturday to go to a natural cave that's a little ways north of us, so we're going to go with them on that tour. Then they're spending the night with us and we're not sure what we're doing on Sunday. Probably no fireworks, since the local fireworks seem to be mediocre at best and the crowds are HORRIBLE (half an hour to find a park and half an hour walk to get to a spot where you can actually see the fireworks, all for a 15-20 minute show? No thanks.) I think our D&D group is gonna game on Monday since everyone has the day off, so my husband and I might spend Sunday painting minis.

setting off fireworks, smoking cigars, and drinking beer.

I have the whole weekend off.

                      Saturday: not sure.

Sunday: Might go on an organized pub crawl/stroll they are having during the day. If I am still conscious at night, probably go watch the fireworks somewhere, maybe at Little Red's new job at the resort on the beach.

anyone with suggestions for the CT area let me know!
Best fireworks show I have ever seen was the Fourth of July 1998 show I saw in Middletown, CT, over the Connecticut River. If they are anything now like they were then, it will be awesome.

Awww man I just found out that a really awesome but kind of pricy place I never get to go to is having a buy one get one special for dinner on the 4th. Why couldn't they have said this before I made plans?

Well, our camping plans fell through. We wanted an electric site so we could run an air conditioner (yes, it's supposed to be camping, but sleeping in 100 degree heat is impossible) and all the electric sites have been booked for months now! So instead, we'll do a couple day trips to the lake.

Of course, I found this out after spending a couple hours organizing our camping stuff, making sure we had all the kitchen stuff, etc. That's okay though, at least I'm ready for our September hunting trip.

I saw the New London show from where I was in RI last year....it was awesome. Hope to see it again (and a few others)

I know New Haven has a good show, not sure when they are doing it and getting a place to park is impossible. I'm not sure about any other shows....

                                Heh...

I'll be enjoying the fireworks over the water for the first time in ages (missed it the past several years due to that occasionally irritating thing called 'life').

Only wish we still had the boat.
