yes, I've been trying to deal with flooding in SE Wisconsin for most of the day and people aren't getting the fact that when there's 4 feet of water and it's still raining there's more important things to worry about than getting your car towed!

Here's hoping the Wisconsin contigent of CS is all OK, there was talk of the national gaurd coming in to help and I think someone said Madison was getting hit as well.

Just in case anybody's wondering, it didn't do much by me. It rained most of the day yesterday, pretty hard at times, but no thunder or lightning and it was all done by about 5:30 or so.

Pretty eerie sunset though. A little strip of yellow-orange with dark gray clouds above.

And from what I can tell, it's still raining down there, only not as hard.

Whoo! I hear it's making landfall right now. We are under a tropical storm warning, though it looks like it's heading for New Orleans. This is really going to screw up the oil spill recovery. Hopefully, Bonnie moves on through really fast and doesn't strengthen when it hits the Gulf.

Northern IL is doing good too, since whatever WI gets, we get.

I was up in WI last night to run something to my mother at work and it was storming. Went back home and the storm followed me there. I went a little more south to stay at a friend's house and the rain followed me there. Last night, we had flood watches and warnings and the lightning, thunder, and rain were relentless.

Yet more forecasts for storms tonight. Aye chihuahua!

Thank goodness I'm not in Milwaukee right now. They've gotten about 7 inches of rain today from what I've heard, along with tornadoes.

I heard that Milwaukee ("The good land") got 7 inches of rain in 2 hours.

Whereas the hell that is GB got .98/inch ALL DAY and the paper was whining like we got 10 feet's worth in a millisecond.
