  • Tried hiking on Sunday....my leg hurt a bit.....but I did get 60 mins of a walk in, and on monday I walked a dog for about 20 mins (a strong doggie )

Ate more than I wanted to this holiday weekend, and I need to get into weight lifting....but I haven't gained anything significant

    • Skipped the gym today and took a nap instead. The next several days are supposed to be rainy so I guess I'll be stuck on the treadmill.

      • Due to work I didn't get on the bike in the last two days. Today is a twelve-hour shift, so I can't see me doing it today either. Going to hurt when I try to make up for it tomorrow...

        Still at 17st 2lb.

        • Went out with some coworkers after work....and I was good! ONly had 2 crab cakes and 4 nachos (after a light breakfast and lunch)

Lost all my holiday weight! Though I still feel like a slug since I can't hike yet......gonna just concentrate on upper body and use weight

          • Not sure what I've done right, barring large amounts of overtime, as I've not been on the exercise bike since Sunday etc. However, the scales this morning reckon I'm down a couple pounds to 17st on the dot. I think I'll be changing the batteries in them and rechecking later

              • I joined Curves yesterday. When the woman asked me why I was joining, I said it was because I wanted to be in shape for the Zombie Apocalypse.

                • <snerk> EQ, you amuse me!

Weighed myself this morning, and the total weight loss is now 32 lbs exactly. This pleases me greatly. About to do the measurements, so shall see if any inches were lost as well. Not too bad, considering I've been slacking off on working out, and this is all due to taking the stairs instead of elevator and walking all over campus/running around work.

                  • Brought my gym bag to work on Tuesday, and brought it home on Friday...been so damn tired lately. I know exercise would help my stress level but I just want to sleep through it all.

                    • I'm still sore from last weekend. Saturday, I took the MG to the gym...and went through my usual routine. Well, most of it--I did the Nautilus circuit, a few of the 'other' machines, then felt like I was going to hurl. Seriously, it's always a bit warm in the gym, and that only made the "hurl factor" that much worse. I swam a few laps in the pool, then relaxed in the hot tub. Most of the soreness went away, but having to deal with the car's lack of power steering on the way home...proved interesting. It wasn't that it hurt to turn the wheel, but rather, the somewhat-odd angle required to do so. It was a bit stiff the first few miles, but that soon went away.

Sunday, I was back at the gym. Finished up the few machines I had to do, followed with some cardio, specifically the arc trainer. 40 minutes of that, and 600+ calories went *blip*

One day on, and I'm still a bit sore. But, no pain, no gain

                      • Convention + roadtrip + con crud = no running.

Plus, my running clothes seem to have lost themselves. I need to go looking for them and wash them before getting back out. Looks like I may not get out before Wednesday.

However, it appears as though all the walking (yay hills) in Atlanta may have kept me from putting any weight on at Con. Which would be amazing. One of the tests is a dress I have that I was hoping to wear tomorrow, but still may not fit into. We shall see.

I really need to get a sewing machine so I can take in a few other dresses and hopefully not have to go shopping for the fall/winter season.

                          • Watching TV, I have started doing random exercises during the commercial breaks. It's interesting, and I rather like it. Crunches during one break, lunges during another, squats during another, etc. Still active, and not all couch potato while watching TV. Methinks I like this new trend.

I like that idea. I've thought of it before but I never actually haul my butt off the couch.

Yesterday I went to the park and walked around the flat part of the path. I was going to go around the hill but I made it about halfway up and my back was so sore that I turned around and went back so I could stay on the flat. Don't know what I did to it but it's getting better. Still pretty stiff, though.

That's actually a brilliant idea. You end up doing about 10 -15 minutes of exercise (depending on how long the program is) and it doesn't feel like you're working out
